This week the entertainment world was given several big announcements regarding upcoming events in the theatre, sports and music realms. The announcement began with a big reveal from the Broadway world when the highly anticipated musical Golden Boy opened up on Broadway this week. The 1937 story received a makeover and retelling that will bring the classic tale to life in a whole new way. The new production will feature former War Horse star Seth Numrich in the starring role. The premier of the new Broadway musical is set for this week and tickets for those looking to see the event live on the Broadway stage are now available to the public.
Meanwhile, the final match ups for the 2013 college bowl series was announced earlier this week and it was revealed that the BCS title showdown would take place between top ranked Notre Dame; and number two team Alabama. Ticket sales have already set records for this upcoming matchup so those who are looking to get tickets to see the national championships live will want to act quickly. Along with the announcement about the BCS title game; match ups for the Cotton, Chik-Fil-A, Rose Bowl and Fiesta Bowl; all big college bowl games were also revealed. All current bowl game tickets are now on sale and available to the public just in time for bowl season which is set to kick off after the holidays.
While announcements from the sports and theatre world have had many fans excited, no announcement matched the recent reveal from Stevie Nicks and her band Fleetwood Mac. The iconic rock group announced this week that they will be heading out on a 34 day tour across North America and visit venues in both the United States and Canada. It was also revealed that singer Stevie Nicks and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham will be reuniting their partnership to create new material for the tour. This will be the first time in more than a decade that the two musicians have worked together. This tour will mark one of the first tours for the group in years and has fans of the group anxious to hear some of the band’s classic hits as well as new songs set to be released on the band’s upcoming 2013 album. The tour will kick off in early 2013 and tickets for the concert event will go on
