Festivals, NCAA Football, Probowl Etc…

This week it was revealed that the long running Bamboozle Festival, held annually in the Asbury Park, New Jersey area. The festival, which annually draws in around 100,000 fans who gather together to hear the eclectic musical stylings of this festival, has been officially been cancelled for 2013. However, another music festival made a big announcement this week when the official line up for the SnowBall Music Festival was revealed.

This annual music festival, held in the spring of Winter Park, Colorado, revealed its first set of line ups and the date of the festival. The SnowBall Music Festival will take place in March 8-10 in 2013. So far the following acts have been approved for the 2013 festival; Portugal, The Man, Pretty Lights and Big Gigantic. Sixty other acts are still slated to make an appearance at the festival and perform on the festival’s four different stages. Tickets to the festival will go on sale next year.

While the music world is talking of these recent festival announcements the sports world also is dealing with its own cancellation and announcement news. The NHL recently cancelled even more games, canceling games throughout January 18th and taking one step closer to canceling the entire season. This has many fans of the NHL worried that there will be no games in the 2012-2013 season. While the NHL season looks as though it is coming to a close, the NFL season is still in full force. After voting closed this week for the 2013 Pro Bowl lineup it was revealed that the Pro Bowl rosters will officially be announced next week, December 26th. Tickets are now on sale for the annual event and are expected to sell out quickly after the official roster is revealed next week so fans of the event will want to get their tickets fast for the January 27th even.

In other big football news BCS title showdown between Notre Dame and Alabama is the one game on most people’s minds and although the game is still a few weeks away, ticket sales for the event have already been setting records as many are looking to see these two college football power houses take the field live. With both teams running a similar game and both teams with an impression season schedule; all eyes will be on the national championship game when it takes place on January 7th. Select tickets are still one sale for this important college football event
