This week while many in the sports world are still gearing up for the upcoming Super Bowl, the world of live entertainment has also been presented with several big announcements from the music world. Country super star Luke Bryan revealed this week that after selling out the first leg of his “Dirt Road Diaries Tour” which he is currently on, he would be adding additional shows to the tour to help deliver his fun, high energy sound to more fans across the country. The first leg of the tour is scheduled to end on March 23rd. This new summer leg will add 35 dates to the tour, beginning on May 17th in Virginia Beach, VA and will keep the performer on the road throughout October of 2013. Tickets for the new leg of the tour go on sale this week.
One of the other big announcements of the week came from Crosby Stills and Nash. The iconic folk rock band revealed that they would be hitting the road for an upcoming 2013 tour. This tour will take the band throughout the United States in 23 different stops as they deliver some of their biggest songs from the past few decades and some of their latest recordings. This new tour will be visiting some of the biggest cities in the country and bringing fans of the group up close and personal with the folk rock veterans. Tickets for the tour go on sale to the public this week.
Another big announcement from a rock icon came this week as well, only this one had to do with the Broadway stage. Famed singer and songwriter Barry Mainlow will be kicking off his new show this week on January 24th. Although previews for the show were originally scheduled for the 22nd-23rd of January, the singer had to push the dates back due to a case of bronchitis. The event, titled Manilow on Broadway, will feature a full concert of pop hits from the singer and will take place at the St. James Theatre. Tickets are now on sale for the event for fans of the singer looking to see this one-of-a-kind event live. This live show is one of the first of its kind. Will you be getting tickets to see Manilow of Broadway live?
