With many spring concert tours in full swing and many of the biggest acts in music already on the road for their annual tours, there has been a great deal of news surrounding performers who are adding additional legs to their concerts. Veteran rock band, Soundgarden recently announced that they would be adding a second leg to their current tour due to overwhelming popularity. The tour, called the “King Animal” tour currently as the band on the road touring around North America. The band announced that they will be adding a second round of US tour dates to their tour and 18 more stops to their current trek. The second leg of the tour will begin May 3rd. Tickets for the recently added concert dates are on sale now.
Another long time rock group, Motley Crue also made announcements this week regarding their current tour. The band is currently on the road with fellow rockers KISS co-headlining an Australian tour. Due to the overwhelming success of their current outing, the group will be adding a month of arena shows to their concert event. The band will be kicking off these shows in Canada, where they will stay for a month until playing just a single show in the United States in Gilford, NH to end their tour. Tickets for the new leg of this tour are now available to the public for those who want to see the long time rock group take the stage live.
Finally one of the biggest announcements of the week regarding rock veterans came from the group Green Day. The rockers announced they would also be adding new tour dates to their current world wide tour schedule. The rockers will be playing in several festivals as well as three intimate club concerts this year. While the rockers primarily play in large arenas; they will be adding concerts in these more intimate venues as way to give fans a rare chance to see them up close and personal.
