This week more information on one of the biggest musical events of the year, Lollapalooza, was released. It was revealed that the annual festival will be returning once again this year to Grant Park in Chicago from August 2nd-4th. The festival will have eight different stages of performers and once again will feature a massive line up of bands. This week the daily line ups for the event were revealed with top performers such as The Killers, Mumford and Sons, The Postal Service and more all making appearances at the event. As the festival plans for the event to sell out, they will be releasing 60,000 single day tickets for Wednesday April 3rd for the festival. Other tickets for the event, including passes will go on sale at the end of this week.
While many are getting up for the annual Lollapalooza event, one of the biggest announcements of the week was undoubtedly the announcement from hit pop group The Jonas Brothers. The pop trio has announced that they will be heading out on their first North American Tour in more than three years, beginning this summer. The band has just announced their Jonas Brothers Live tour, which is set to kick off on July 10th in Chicago, Illinois. The tour will keep the band on the road throughout most of the summer and will include stops in 25 different cities. The band which announced the tour on the same day they released their new single “Pom Poms,” revealed that the tour will feature new material they have been recording during their touring hiatus as well as performances of some of their biggest hits to date.
The tour will include stops in several big cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, LA and Toronto. Tickets for the North American tour go on sale next week and fans are encouraged to act quickly to get their tickets to see the events unfold live, with a history of selling out some of the biggest venues in the country, there is no arguing that their return to the stage is sure to bring fans in, in droves. Will you be getting your tickets to see the Jonas Brothers live when they come to a city near you?
