With spring well underway and summer just around the corner, live music fans of all types are waiting anxiously to hear more information about summer music festivals. While many lineups for upcoming summer events have already been released, very little information has been unveiled about the massive San Francisco based annual festival known as The Outside Lands Festival. The team behind the event announced the final lineup for the event this week and revealed that the festival will take place from August 9th-August 11th in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
According to the announcement headliners will include performances from Paul McCartney, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and more, with appearances from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nine Inch Nails and other bands. Tickets for the highly anticipated event, including three day festival passes will go on sale Thursday, April 18th to the public.
While many are excited about these live entertainment announcements, one of the biggest announcements for music fans came from the band Black Sabbath. The band revealed that they would be taking to the road in 2013 for a North American tour. The famous rock band, along with lead singer Ozzy Osbourne is scheduled to kick off in the end of the summer. So far, the tour, which is designed to promote the release of the band’s new album, 13, will kick off on August 4th. The group is currently only revealing three dates for their North American tour and has revealed that more information about the tour will be released soon. The band revealed that they will be playing a show in Holmdel, New Jersey on August 4th, a show in Quincy, WA on August 24th and performing in Los Angeles, California on September 3rd. These shows will be added to the already announced show for August 14th in Toronto.
