This week, music fans of all types were excited when two of the biggest bands from the 1990s announced they would be teaming up for a new concert tour event in 2013. The Counting Crows and The Wallflowers, who are fresh off recent tours in Australia and Europe, have revealed that they will be kicking off a new tour of North America this summer. The tour is slated to kick off on June 14th in Farmingville, New York. This trek across North America will feature stops in Boston, Las Vegas, Chicago and more and will end on July 21st with a performance in Costa Mesa, California. Tickets for the shows are on sale now and available to the public.
Another big announcement in the music world came today when the lineup for the UPROAR Festival was revealed. The annual festival will feature performances from over a dozen different acts and will tour around the country for two months. This will be the fourth annual UPROAR festival and headliners will includes Jane’s Addiction, Coheed and Cambria and Alice in Chains. The tour kicks off on August 9th at the Toyota Pavilion in Pennsylvania. Tickets go on sale next month for the tour.
However, the biggest announcement of the week undoubtedly came from rock legends the Allman Brothers Band. The classic rock and blues band revealed that they would be touring with limited late summer tour dates this summer season. The band, who rarely tour revealed that they would be putting on ten shows this summer at select venues around the country. The band will be supported on the road by acts such as Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and Steve Winwood. So far the band has revealed that they will be kicking off their late summer tour August 16th in Scranton, PA. The tour is currently scheduled to run until September 7th, 2013 where it will end in Wantagh, New York. Tickets go on sale next week. Will you be getting tickets to see the Allman Brothers live?
