This week, tickets went on sale for the 29th annual Farm Aid Music Festival. Tickets not only have officially gone on sale, but the team behind the event has revealed that Kacey Musgraves and Jack Johnson will not be appearing at the annual music event. Other performers include Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp, Willie nelson and Neil Young. The festival will be held September 21st in Saratoga Springs, NY and tickets are now on sale.
In other concert news, The Avett Brothers have revealed that they will be heading out on a new North American tour that will take place this fall. The tour will take the band to a number of cities in both the United States and Canada. During the tour event, fans can expect to hear numbers from their Grammy nominated album The Carpenter, performed live. Tickets for the concert are on sale now. Finally, one of the biggest announcements of the week came from the his rock band The Pixies. The group revealed that they will be hitting the road this September for a brand new tour event. This tour will take the band around the globe to visit some of the biggest markets in the entire world. This tour will also feature a new bassist for the band, Ki Shattuck of The Pandoras, who will come in and replace former bassist, Kim Deal.
On the tour, fans can expect to hear some all new music from the band, including their latest hit “Bagboy” that was released just last week. The first leg of the tour will be kicking off in Paris on September 29th and will feature a selection of big stops in places like Amsterdam, Dublin and Madrid. The tour will keep the band on the road throughout most of the fall. According to a statement from the band, fans can expect to hear songs they haven’t heard in years as well as numbers that they have never performed live before. Tickets for the announced dates are now on sale in the public, and additional tour stops are expected to be announced within the month.
