This week, new information about some of the biggest Broadway shows in the upcoming season was announced. One of the biggest announcements of the week came when it was revealed that a new version of the Guthrie Theatre’s production of Pride and Prejudice would be hitting the stage in a new production. This production will be adapted for the stage by Simon Reade and it will feature big name performers such as Vincent Karthesier and Ashley Rose Montondo in the leading roles. Previews for the production will begin on July 6th. Tickets are on sale now to the public.
In other big production news, a new Broadway production known as First Date, is set to premier next week. The show will begin its performances on July 9th at the Lonacre Theatre. The show will feature performers such as Zachary Levi who will be debuting on the Broadway stage for the first time, as well as star Krysta Rodriquez from the television show “Smash” in the leading roles. The two will be playing a couple who is set up on their first date. Other big name performers include Sara Chase, Kristoffer Cusick and Black Hammond. Tickets are on sale now for those who want to see the production when it premiers on the stage on July 9th.
Finally, one of the biggest announcements of the week was from the team behind the new production “Let It Be.” The production is a tribute to the iconic rock band the Beatles and it will be premiering on the Broadway stage with previews starting July 16th. The production will feature live performances of some of the biggest Beatles hits to date, including songs such as “Yesterday,” “Twist and Shout,” “A Hard Day’s Night,” and “Come Together” among other singles. The show is being deemed a fun event for fans of all ages. Tickets for the previews are now on sale and available to the public to see this new musical Broadway event.
