This week the music world was treated to a major music announcement from one of the most beloved and established rockers in all of popular music today. This is because the Stone Temple Pilots have just announced that they will be heading out on a new tour event, starting this fall. This massive arena tour will feature the band with their new lead vocalist, Chester Bennington, most well known for being a co-vocalist for the band Linkin Park. Bennington took over as the lead singer of the group after the departure of Scott Weiland.
According to the announcement of the band, the tour will kick off in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on September 4th and will take the band to various destinations across the United States. The tour will keep the group on the road throughout most of the fall and will wrap up on November 1st in Biloxi, MI. Currently the Stone Temple Pilots are working on a new EP with Bennington, that is due sometime this fall. On the tour, fans can expect to hear some of the new recordings from this new record as well as some of the biggest songs that the band is so well known for. According to the group, they will be supported on this tour by fellow rockers Filter. Tickets are on sale now to the public for this event.
In other rock music news, the award winning rock band known as Paramore have just made a major announcement regarding their upcoming plans for their next tour event. The pop-punk band has revealed they will be heading out on the road for a new tour event that promises to be one of their biggest tours to date. The tour will be known as the “Self-Titled” tour and it will support the band’s latest album release. The tour was officially announced via a YouTube video from the band. The tour is set to kick off on October 15th in Seattle, Washington and it will include 27 different stops across North America before the tour warps up in Duluth, GA on November 27th. During the event, the band will be joined by opening acts Hellogoodbye and Metric. Tickets go on sale July 26th to the public.
