This week the music industry was delivered with two major announcements from some of today’s biggest alternative rock bands. One of the big announcements of the week came from two of the industry’s most popular rock bands. This is when Alkaline Trio and New Found Glory announced that together they would be hitting the road for a new US tour event. The bands will be co-headlining their new effort as Alkaline Trio support their new live album called My Shame is True and New Found Glory promotes their upcoming live album Kill It Live, which is slated to be released in October. The tour will be supported by Rockstar Energy. The tour event will be kicking off this fall on October 23rd in San Francisco, California. From there, the rockers will be visiting some major markets including Chicago, Boston and Las Vegas. Tickets to see this tour event live will go on sale August 21st to the public.
While many are excited about this upcoming tour event, one of the biggest announcements of the week came from one of the biggest alternative rock bands of all time; Blink 182. The band, who has been on a recent break from touring, just announced that they will be heading out on a new late summer tour, and this will be the first time that the rockers will be appearing on tour in the United States this year. The rockers will visit numerous major markets around the country, including one major stop in Sayreville, New Jersey. The rockers will be performing at the Starland Ballroom and while it will be a relatively small venue for the band, it is a special stop for the rockers, as during this concert they will be donating some of the proceeds from this event to families in the area that were impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
The tour event is slated to kick off on August 31st in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. From there, the band will be heading to the United States for several tour stops. The tour will concluded on September 22nd in Byers, Colorado. Tickets to see the tour dates will go on sale August 16th to the public. Will you be getting tickets to see Blink 182 live?
