This week, the popular band, Toad the Wet Sprocket, made an announcement regarding their upcoming fall tour event. The band revealed that they would be hitting the road to promote their latest album called New Constellation. This is the group’s first album in the past 16 years, making this a major event for fans of the rockers. The group actually got the funding they needed for the album through their Kickstarter campaign, proving just how loyal and excited fans were for the group’s return to the stage. On this new tour event, the band will not only be playing some of the biggest songs from their decades in the business as well as some of their newest songs from their latest album. The tour is slated to kick off on September 18th and will include several stops in major markets into the United States until the tour wraps up in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 23rd. In other news, the True Music Festival has just announced their official line up for their upcoming annual festival. The annual event has revealed their lineup for the concert, announcing that The Flaming Lips, Wiz Khalifa and Bassnectar will be some of the performers for the event. The annual concert takes place over a single day in Scottsdale Arizona and this year the event will be held at the Scottsdale Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on December 14th. The full musical roster will be announced sometime this week, with complete information on all of the artists that will be performing at the event.
Finally one of the other big announcements of the week came from the rock outfit Paramore. The alternative rockers revealed that they will be heading out on a new world tour that will support their latest album. The event will have the trio not only visiting several major markets for arena appearances but on their first ever Caribbean cruise. The rockers will be calling the vent the “Self-Titled World Tour” and it will be kicking off this week, on September 2nd in Dublin, Ireland. The tour will then head out to 16 different cities in the area before heading to North America for a 27 stop tour that will start on October 15th in Seattle and keep the rockers on the road through November 27th
