This week, the legendary rock group Phish revealed new plans for an upcoming tour. The Vermont band has just revealed that they will be performing a four night run in New York City’s Madison Square Garden to celebrate New Year’s Eve this year. This special four night concert event will help ring in 2014. These newly announced tour dates will be added to the bands seven remaining tour stops that they have on their current tour event. Currently the band is on the road promoting their latest album, and still has stops in Hampton, VA, Atlantic City, NJ and more. The four night concert event will start on December 28th in New York City at the Madison Square Garden Arena and will wrap up on December 31st. Tickets go on sale to the general public on October 12th to see the band perform live.
There is no doubt that many are excited for this special holiday performance from Phish. However, this isn’t the only holiday tour event announced this week. One of the biggest announcements of the week came from the iconic country performer Martina McBride. The platinum selling artist has just announced that she will be heading out on a new holiday tour this year. This tour will be called “The Joy of Christmas Tour.” According to the announcement from the country crooner, the tour will start on November 9th. The holiday tour will be an extension of her current fall tour which is set to wrap up on October 26th. During this special holiday tour, McBride will stay on the road throughout December 21st, where she will wrap up her tour at the iconic Rosemont Theatre outside of Chicago. On the tour, McBride will be visiting several major venues and will be performing some of her most popular Christmas recordings to date, live for audiences.
