This week, theatre fans were treated to some major music announcements when it was revealed that several big productions would be taking the stage in new Broadway events. One of the biggest announcements came this week when the team behind the production of Big Fish revealed that the play would officially be opening to the public with the official production for the event. The musical, which is based off of the 1998 novel from Daniel Wallace has been in preview mode for the past month. The play will be officially taking the stage this week and tickets are available now to see the production live on Broadway.
In other Broadway news, the new productions of the “Twelfth Night, Or What You Will” and of “The Tragedy of King Richard The Third,” from William Shakespeare. These productions have been rated as some of the ‘must see’ productions of the year. This production is designed to provide audiences with a new look at these classic tales. Previews for the production will begin on October 15th at The Belasco Theatre on Broadway. From there the production will officially open on to the market on November 10th with ticket pricing starting at $25 for both the shows. The production will only be playing on Broadway for 16 weeks so audience members are encouraged to get their tickets fast to see this show live.
This week, there was also another Shakespeare production of “Macbeth.” The new rendition of this program is designed to provide a modern spin to the classic tale. The previews of this new and exciting production will begin on October 24th for the production. Tickets to see this production live are on sale now and available to the public. The production is being directed by Jack O’Brien.
