Other big teams to watch this year will be the Chicago Bulls, the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder, among others. All week, different teams will be hosting their own opening night events, with several opening games being held this Friday November 1st. On November 1st, teams such as Charlotte, Orlando, Atlanta, and Boston will all be hosting their own opening night events. Tickets for these games and for games throughout the rest of the season are available now to the public.

This is not the only professional league that has kicked off this week either. Now that the winter sports season is in full swing, fans can enjoy the official return of the NHL. Teams to watch this year include the St. Louis Blues, the Colorado Avalanche, the New York Rangers and last year’s league champion the 2013 Stanley Cup winners, the Chicago Blackhawks. This week tickets also went on sale for the annual NHL Winter Classic event. The 2014 NHL Winter Classic will be held this year on New Year’s Day at Michigan Stadium.
