Winter Holiday Theater Time

With Christmas right around the corner, there have been a number of announcements regarding live theatrical performances that have been unveiled this week, that are sure to get anyone in the holiday spirit. Many of these shows will begin their runs and their live tours this week, so those looking to see some specialty live shows to get them in the holiday spirit will want to act quickly to get their tickets to some of these events.

A Christmas Story is one of the most beloved cult classic holiday films of all time and during the holiday season this story is brought to life in a new way with its live theatrical production. This year the live showings of this story will officially kick off in Boston, MA on November 20th. From there the show will continue to tour around the country throughout the holiday season.

Another big announcement regarding a hit holiday show also came from the team behind Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole
Christmas. This was one of the biggest live productions of the 2012-2013 holiday season and promises to be another must-see show this year. Tickets are now on sale for the performance which officially kicks off Thanksgiving weekend on Wednesday November 27th at Procter and Gamble Hall in Cincinnati. The show will stay on the road through the New Year before closing up in January. During this production fans of the original story will get to see the hilarious yet heartwarming tale of the Grinch and his miraculous discovery of the true meaning of Christmas. Tickets are on sale now.

One of the biggest announcements of the week came from the team behind the hit live show of Elf. This production is based on the wildly successful Will Ferrell comedy of the same name and stars Will Blum in the role of Buddy the Elf; and orphan human who has been living in Santa’s workshop. This laugh a minute production is now hitting the road for its annual tour event beginning on November 9th. The tour will kick off in Owensboro, Kentucky and from there will visit several major markets before wrapping up the tour after the New Year. Tickets to see this show when it reaches your home town are now on sale and available to the public. Will you be seeing Elf this holiday season?
