This week, there were several big announcements from some of the biggest legends in the entire music industry. One of the first big announcements of the week came from George Strait. The singer is currently planning his final tour as a performer and with his outing called “The Cowboy Rides Away” tour. This tour is slated to officially kick off next summer in Arlington, Texas. In addition to announcing this new tour event, the singer has revealed that he will have an all-star lineup joining him on stage for this new event. Other performers to join George Strait on stage will include Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert, among others. The new tour will wrap up in Arlington’s AT&T Stadium. Here the singer will be performing in front of a massive crowd of more than 100,000 fans. This final performance will include guest performances from Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Ronnie Dunn, Vince Fill, Alan Jackson, Lee Ann Womack, Faith Hill and Martina McBride. Tickets for this star studded farewell tour event are on sale now and available to the public for those who want to see Strait in his final performance event.
Another big announcement this week came from two of the biggest acts in classic rock. This is when both Journey and the Steve Miller Band announced that they will be joining forces in a new tour event. The two rock icons will be co-headlining a new tour that will keep them on the road for nearly three months this summer. During the tour the two will be heading out across North American and visiting some of the biggest venues in the continent. The new tour event will begin on May 14th in Chula Vista, California before heading out to more than 24 different cities from coast to coast. There will be a single Canadian stop on the outing on June 19th in Toronto. During this tour, fans of the performers can see them perform both individual songs and do some joint performances as well.
