Last year was the fifth time in the team’s history that they have come away with the Stanley Cup Trophy, and with this success behind them, the team is focused on maintaining a longstanding reputation of excellence within the league moving forward. This is because in addition to winning the Stanley Cup, last year the team also took at least one point in each of their first 26 games, were the winners of the Central Division and the top team in the Western Conference. They also walked away with the President’s Trophy at the end of the 2013 season.
