This week, there were several big announcements regarding the tour schedules of some of today’s biggest artists. One of the biggest announcements of the week came from the Indie pop/rock performer Annie Clark, who performs under the stage name St. Vincent. The wildly successful artist recently announced that she will be releasing a new album in early 2014. The album and the newly released title track from that album will be called “Birth in Reverse.” The album will officially debut on February 25th. In support of this album, St. Vincent will also be heading out on the road for a new tour event. According to the performer, she will be performing approximately 30 shows for the North American tour. This new tour will officially kick off the day after her album drops, on February 26th. The tour will start in New York at Terminal 5; from there the signer will continue her tour throughout the spring, before wrapping up the event on April 12th in Buffalo, New York. Her final performance from the tour will take place in Ashbury Hall. Tickets for this new tour event go on sale this month.
Another rock tour announcement came from the popular band Stone Sour. The rockers revealed this week that they will be heading out on the road for a brand new tour event beginning in January. This massive new tour will be promoting the band’s latest album “House of Gold and Bones Part 2.” The tour will kick off in Orlando, Florida at the House of Blues on January 14th. From there the rockers will continue their trek across the United States before wrapping up the tour in February. During this show, fans can expect to hear many of the group’s latest songs from their recent album, as well as some of their older hits. The band will also have opening acts Pop Evil and Stolen Babies on the road with them. The tour will officially wrap up on February 15th in San Antonio, Texas. Tickets are on sale now.
