This week several rock outfits announced that they would be heading out on the road for new live show events. One of the first announcements of the week came from the famed a cappella group, Straight No Chaser. The vocal group first rose to fame when they appeared on the hit television singing competition “The Sing Off.” The group has been touring throughout the month of December and has just revealed that they will continue to tour in order to support their new album. Their latest album is called “Under the Influence” and it’s set to be released on May 7th. The group will continue to perform through December 31st including a stop at the Fabulous Fox Theatre before taking a break for their newly announced tour event. On May 8th, the day after their new album is released, the rockers till head back out on the road until May 19th for a tour to support their new record. One of the biggest announcements of the week came from the band One Republic. The group revealed that they are set to go out on tour in 2014 for a new live event. The band will be support their 2013 album “Native” on this new live tour. According to the rock outfit, the band will be on the road for a coast to coast summer tour that will take the rockers to 16 different stops around the country. The show will officially kick off at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, Colorado on May 28th. From there the tour will keep the band on the road visiting some of the biggest venues in the country until June 29th. Their final show will take place in Wantagh, New York at the Jones Beach Theatre. While on the road, fans can expect to hear music from the bands most recent album as well as some of their biggest hits from their career. During the tour, the band The Script will be supporting the rockers as their opening act. Tickets go on sale today for those who want to see The Script take the stage live.
