Christmas Time Equals Broadway Time

With Christmas week right around the corner, Broadway has unveiled some exciting news about their upcoming live performance schedule. There are several irregular schedules and new performances that will be taking place this week and several shows that are getting special performance times specifically for the holiday. The live production of The Lion King is always a popular holiday show and during the holiday season. This family friendly show will be one of the few productions that will take place on Christmas Eve. Those who are looking
to take the whole family to a show on Christmas Eve will find that The Lion King still has tickets available for this show. On Christmas day, there will only be a few shows playing for theatre goers, but there are still tickets available for the Christmas shows that will have performances on this day. The live production of Wicked The Musical will be performing on Christmas with an evening show and tickets are still available to see this production on Christmas night. On Christmas evening, there will also be performances of Rock of Ages, Pippin and Phantom of the Opera. Tickets for all of these shows are still available for their Christmas and Christmas Eve showings.

While many are looking to get tickets for some of Broadway’s biggest shows during the holidays, there is also new live theatre news about some of the upcoming productions to hit Broadway. One of the biggest and most anticipated announcements for theatre fans is the announcement of the upcoming live theatrical version of Rocky on Broadway. The much talked about show will be a new musical rendition of this story will feature the original tale mixed with new songs and choreography. This production will be held at the Winter Garden Theatre
in New York City. The live musical is based off the movie and the story of the same name and will feature the same inspirational story of an aspiring young boxer. Previews for this production officially start on February 11th. Tickets are on sale now for those who want to see the previews for this one of a kind musical production, and for those who want to see the musical when it officially opens on the stage. Tickets are already selling out fast to see this one of a kind production; will you be getting tickets to see the musical version of Rocky’s story when it hits the stage live?
