This week there were several big concert announcements beginning with an announcement from Garth Brooks. Before the country icon releases the official schedule for his upcoming 2014 tour, he has just released tickets for the kickoff to the event, set to take place in Ireland. This will be the first show in 17 years that Brooks has performed in the country. When tickets went on sale, Brooks sold nearly a quarter of a million tickets for his event at Croke Park in just 90 minutes. The sold out event covers three days of concerts and is the fastest in history for any artist. Tour date announcements for the North American leg of the tour are slated to come this month, and if these first shows are any indication of what ticket sales will be like, fans can expect concert tickets to see Garth Brooks live for the first time in more than a decade, will be selling out fast.
