Ed Sheeran also made a major announcement last week, revealing that he will be heading out on a new North American arena tour. This tour outing will start on August 22nd in Seattle, Washington. From there the singer will make 15 different stops in cities across the country including stops in Boston and Chicago, as well as other major markets. This tour will come after Sheeran wraps up his highly successful European outing. Sheeran has already had a successful year, including a tour with Taylor Swift and an appearance on Saturday Night Live. More dates are expected to be announced later this month. Tickets for this new outing go on sale on April 25th to the public.
This week another big announcement came from the band Kings of Leon. The award winning group will be heading out on their new tour called the “Mechanical Bull” tour to some of the biggest outdoor venues across the United States. The tour will begin this summer and keep the band on the road through the early fall. According to the announcement, the band will be joined by opening acts Young the Giant and Kongos. The tour will officially kick off on July 31st in St. Louis, Missouri and then head out throughout the Midwest and east and west coasts.
