This week the Allman Brothers Band revealed that final plans for their final concert services. The group has just announced that they will be performing their final shows with a return to the Beacon Theatre in October of this year. The band will be celebrating its 45th anniversary and a 14 year run with their current lineup of performers. The band has just revealed the new final dates for their last string of performances which they have revealed will mark their last time working together on stage.
The final shows have been rescheduled (they were originally supposed to take place in March) for the month of October. These performances will be held October 21st-28th at the theatre. During this string of performances the band will be playing some of their biggest hits of their last few decades in the industry. The band’s final show, which will end in the early hours of October 29th, will actually mark the 43rd anniversary of the death of band co-founder Duane Allman. Tickets are expected to go on sale to the newly rescheduled shows this month.
Another big announcement this week came from New Zealand musician Lorde. The singer revealed that she will be heading out on a brand new tour event this summer. The wildly popular Grammy Award winning singer is currently on her massive world tour around England and Australia. However, the North American leg of her tour will officially be kicking off on August 1st. The North American leg of this tour will officially kick off on August 1st at Lollapalooza in Chicago. From there the young singer will be heading to Boston, Las Vegas, Nashville and other major markets before she officially wraps up the tour on October 12th in Austin, Texas.
