This week, chart topping Swedish singer and songwriter Lykke Li announced that she will be heading out on a new North American tour. Following her European run this summer, the singer will be heading stateside to support her latest effort “I Never Learn.” The singer will start with performances at different music festivals in late June and early July. Then she will be kicking off her official tour following an August 1st performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago. The tour has already been so popular, that the singer has added 13 additional major market shows to the itinerary, keeping the singer on the road through mid-October. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
However, one of the biggest announcements of the week came from the incomparable Alan Jackson. The country legend revealed earlier this week that he will be heading out on a brand new tour that will take the singer across the United States. The new tour is being deemed the “25th Anniversary Tour” and it will take Jackson around the country. This announcement was made when Jackson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. According to the singer, this is not a farewell tour, simply a tour that celebrates Jackson’s career so far in the industry.
According to the announcement, the singer will officially kick off his new outing in the spring of 2015. Dates have not been revealed at this time. However, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has revealed that they will be launching a new exhibit in honor of Jackson’s long career, to hold fans over until the tour kicks off. This new exhibit will officially debut on August 29th. Jackson will also be performing special concerts at the museum starting October 8th, with another concert scheduled for October 22nd. Tickets are on sale now for these concerts.
Tickets are expected to go on sale for the spring 25th anniversary tour by the end of the summer. Jackson has already promised that he will be releasing new music to coincide with the tour once it kicks off next year. Will you be seeing Alan Jackson in this new tour event?
