Broadway Holiday Season Time

This week, there has been plenty of exciting news regarding live Broadway productions, that are bringing fresh new faces into their lineup for this season’s shows. This week, popular film actress officially began her run in the much talked about new Broadway show, Caberet. The show officially opened on April 24th of this year, and now film star Emma Stone will be taking the stage for the production. The show, which is currently slated to run through March of next year, is one of the most talked abotu new revivals of the year and now with Stone in the role of Sally Bowles, many are excited to see what the actress can bring to the live theater stage. Stone is replaxing actress Michelle Williams in the iconic role as the 1930s Berlin night clube singer. Stone begins her performances in the role this week at Broadway’s Studio 54. Emma Stone will be performing in the production until February 1st, 2015. The show also stars Alan Cumming, Danny Burstein and Linda Emond. Tickets are available now to see the Golden Glob-nominated actress in her first Broadway role.

Another big announcement this week, came from the team behind the new Wicked touring show. The infamous musical production is heading out on a brand new tour event, bringing the show and the magical tale of Oz to fans from around the country. This latest rendition of show isthe second North American tour of the hit. The show will feature new performances from Carrie St. Louis in the role of Glinda, Kristine Zbornik as Madame Morrible, John Davidson as the Wizard and Ashley Parker Angel as Fiyero. The four actors will join existing cast members such as Laurel Harris that previously started as Elphaba. The show will debut with these new faces starting on the tour stop on November 26th, engagement at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, VA. This engagement will keep the show in town until December 11th. From there the tour will continue around the country with stops in Los Angeles, Detroit, Durham and Atlanta. Tickets for this new tour, which will feature these new faces, are on sale now.
