Giveaways - News - Discounts - Announcements

We all enjoy a good dinner and a Broadway show. It’s one of the best things that you can do for weekend entertainment.

One of the nice things about being able to see the shows are the fact that you can buy play tickets online or at a discount depending on where you decide to purchase them.

However, there are some rules of thumb that are helpful. Not everyone is going to be able to have a prime seat in the center orchestra section of the theater. Some people do not care to be in the first two rows of that section because they feel it’s too close to the performance. Although orchestra seating may be a preferable location it still may end up not being so prime especially if your seat runs under the mezzanine or is too far away from center stage. For example, it could be located on the upper level and in the back. So before purchasing tickets, take a look at the theatre’s map to determine the seating and how far from the stage you will be sitting before you actually purchase the ticket.

If you are interested in purchasing Book of Mormon tickets or any other Broadway show and you cannot afford prime seating. You can opt for a location that may be to the left or right of the center stage and still end up with a good view of the play. Also, remember that ticket locations do offer value-priced tickets that can be purchased at a lower cost. However, you do have to pay close attention to what you are buying.

For instance, if you are going to see a play that has a two-story setting and you are seated under the mezzanine so before you purchase the ticket, make certain that you check to see if your ticket has a “partial view” warning printed somewhere on the ticket. If it does that is an advance notice that you may not be able to see everything that is happens in the play.

Trying to find the right budget price ticket to a show that you want to see is not an easy feat. However, other than sitting up in peanut heaven, if you are a student, you will be able to get what is known as a student rush ticket or a general rush ticket that will be available for persons that are not students. Or you also have the option of seeing what kind of deal you can get by buying tickets online at “Broadway for Broke People”.

When a person is interested in buying rush tickets they are for same day performance and you can also buy standing room tickets (SRO) if you have the stamina to stand up that long without resting your feet. This is by far the cheapest way to see any Broadway show. However, this method may not work for someone that has back pain or other physical disabilities or limitations.

There are some other caveats to purchasing SRO tickets as well. Even though you may be able to get the ticket for probably under $25.00. You will have to get to the ticket booth probably around 6 a.m. It helps to try to be one of the first ones in line because they only sell about 25 of those tickets per show. So this is not something you may want to do in the middle of the winter or in the pouring rain.

Therefore, if you are interested in buying a Broadway ticket to one of the popular shows and you cannot afford a ticket that allows you to have prime seating, you may want to consider other options that are more budget friendly and still allow you to enjoy one of Broadway’s biggest hit shows.
