2013 BCS Game tickets already available!

By Amy | October 14th, 2012

With the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Florida Gators holding the top two spots currently in the BCS standings, that can only mean one thing: it’s getting closer to the date when all college football fans put down whatever they’re doing – the laundry, the paperwork, the baby – and all eyes become glued to the television for the BCS game. Well, not all fans, since some will be lucky enough to see it live! No sports bar patrons jostling their way in front of the TV or hefty pay-per-views to sit and watch the game from afar, but the real sights and sounds of the BCS Championship Game at Miami Gardens this January. Can you picture yourself there? It’ll be easier if you take the plunge and order tickets now, while there’s still time to plan on that sick day from work, and while the best seats are still available.

Aerosmith’s New Dimension

By Amy | August 1st, 2012

Aerosmith‘s Global Warming Tour is proving – again and again – that rock and roll is not necessarily the young man’s world. At 40 years together and counting, the group has continued to sell out stadiums and theaters across the nation and beyond, and has recently produced a new album of original music, or “Music From a New Dimension.” Now, together with fellow rockers Cheap Trick, the Global Warming summer concert tour has been creating memories everywhere it’s stopped, finishing up in Bristow, VA on August 12. Did you miss it? If so, you’ve got another chance to catch Aerosmith next month at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas with Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi!

By Amy | June 20th, 2012

NBA is ON!

By Amy | December 21st, 2011

To the extreme relief of basketball fans everywhere, the NBA has finally gotten past their disagreements and will be playing on Christmas Day.

And who are the teams to watch this year? The Miami Heat are looking good, with LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh showing real promise in this short season. The Dallas Mavericks are also a good bet, with an NBA title under their belts, although the recent loss of Tyson Chandler could prove a stumbling block. The Chicago Bulls are looking good, and will still be creating headlines with the NBA’s youngest ever MVP winner, Derrick Rose. The Oklahoma City Thunder, while one of the younger teams in the NBA, are promising a good offense this year. WIll it be enough? And the LA Lakers, one of the most celebrated teams in the NBA, has a new coach, which could mark a return to the winner’s circle.

The season this year is short, which means tickets may be tough to get for some games, but we’ll have access to the best seats long after they’re sold out. Don’t miss out on an historic season – check your schedule and get your basketball tickets now!

NBA Season looking unlikely this year

By Amy | November 14th, 2011

As time ticks away without an NBA season, the refusal of the players to meet owners’ demands continues. Today marked a key day in the discussions – one where David Stern offered 51% profits to the players, leaving the team owners with 49% to pay for – well – pretty much everything else from team management to a full staff of people hired to take care of the players. But it’s not enough.

Where does that leave the NBA now? Possibly nowhere for the 2011-2012 season, at least, and it’s a given that the lack of a season is going to have an effect on future sales. Given that the exorbitant player salaries wouldn’t be so exorbitant in the first place if the NBA weren’t so profitable, this seems like a self-defeating play that can’t end well.

Hockey’s looking better than ever.

Billy Elliot announces an end date

By Amy | October 5th, 2011

In keeping with the sudden trend of goodbye posts on this blog, the wildly acclaimed theater smash Billy Elliot has announced that it will end its three-year run on Broadway on January 8, 2012. Since opening in late 2008, ticket sales have stayed fairly constant, but no run can last forever – and Billy Elliott will be ending on a high note. That means, of course, that if you haven’t seen it yet and have been putting it off, now is the time to get tickets! You can find our Billy Elliott tickets here.

Adele out for now

By Amy | October 5th, 2011

Sad news for Adele fans: all her October concert tour dates have been cancelled to give her time to recover from vocal ailments. From Adele on her site: “I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever.” Adele added, “my voice is weak and I need to build it back up. I’m gonna be starting up vocal rehab as soon as, and start building my over all stamina in my voice, body and mind. I will be back and I’m gonna smash the ball out the park once I’m touring again.”

Stay tuned to Coast to Coast, where we’ll have tickets to her shows once they’ve been rescheduled, and we wish Adele a full a speedy recovery!
