Crosby, Stills and Nash Plus Three Dog Night News

This week there were several major announcements for fans of jam bands who want to see their favorite performers take the stage live. This week one of the major music announcements came from the band Crosby, Stills and Nash. The group revealed plans for a new late summer/early fall tour outing that will officially kick off on August 6th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  From there, the band will start traveling along the East Coast to several major concert venues in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. The band will also make stops in Texas, Oregon, Washington and Colorado, before wrapping up the tour on October 1st in San Diego, California. During this tour outing, fans can expect to hear some of the band’s biggest songs from the last several years in the industry, performed live. Tickets to see the group live are expected to sell out fast as they will be visiting more intimate venues during their tour in hopes to get up close and personal with their fans during these performances. Tickets are on sale now for those who want to see the band take the stage live.

Broadway May News

This week, there were several big announcements about hit Broadway productions. Tickets are now on sale to see the new much talked about play called The City of Conversation. The play, which starts in 1979 in Washington D.C., spans over 30 years and six presidents. The production features five time Tony nominee Jan Maxwell as Hester Ferris, and an all star supporting cast. The play is now open to the public and is being performed at the Lincoln Center Theater. Tickets are available to those looking to see this unique production unfold live.

Another new much talked about production just revealed plans for its official opening as the team behind Up Here just announced their official debut. The new musical was written by Academy Award winning songwriters Robert Lopex and Kristen Anderson- Lopez, the same team behind the hit Academy Award winning movie “Frozen.” The play will officially open in 2015 at La Jolla Playhouse. The show will be directed by two-time Tony nominee Alex Timbers. The play has been described as a romantic comedy with a ‘theatrical twist.” Lopez, who has also won Tony Awards for The Book of Mormon and Avenue Q, has been planning his vision for the production for the past five years. Tickets are expected to go on sale at the end of this year.

“Today” show concert series event

This summer NBC will once again be hosting their “Today” show concert series event. The television station has just revealed who their headlining performers will be this year for their live summer concert series. According to the announcement include Mariah Carey, Pharrell Williams, Maroon 5 and Jason Mraz. These acts will all be taking the stage as part of the summer concert series. Mariah Carey will be kicking off the concert series in Rockefeller Plaza on May 16th. Pharrell Williams, who was also just named as one of the judges on “The Voice” will be taking the stage Thursday, June 5th.

These aren’t the only performers slated for the concert series event either. Other performers include Neon Trees, OneRepublic and Jennifer Hudson. Train, Maroon 5 and Phillip Phillips all performed last year as part of the summer series event. All of these performances will be taking place on Fridays. Tickets to see these concerts live are on sale now and available to the public for those who want to see their favorite artists perform as part of the NBC summer series.

Paul McCartney plus NKOB Related News

This week, there were several big concert tour announcements to delight fans of all types of music. This week, Paul McCartney made another announcement about his highly successful “Out There” tour. The former Beatle revealed an additional stop for his current tour and will be adding a final performance at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park. The singer has already sold out all of his shows, in major markets and has recently added stops in Missoula, MT on August 5th, Los Angeles on August 10th and Phoenix on August 12th. Tickets for these shows are on sale now. Tickets are also on sale for the Candlestick Park show which is being called the “Farewell to Candlestick: The Final Concert.” The show and last stop on McCartney’s US tour will be the final show before its demolition. This is also the place where the Beatles performed their final full concert together in 1966. Tickets are on sale now but expected to sell out fast.

Pitbull and Haim News

This week, there were several major North American tour announcements that are sure to have music fans of all types excited for the upcoming season. The first major announcement came from the pop-rock trio Haim, who just sold out all of the stops on their upcoming North American tour. Thanks to the tremendous success of the group’s pre-sales, the trio has added additional shows to their upcoming tour. The group will be adding three additional stops to their already packed summer schedule to keep with the demands from their fans.

The all sister trio revealed that they will be making a two night stop in Los Angeles on August 7th-8th. The rockers will also be adding an additional stop on August 15th in Seattle, Washington to close out their tour. These stops will be added to existing sold out performances in major markets such as Washington D.C., New York City and Denver. Tickets go on sale to the public on May 2nd for those looking to see the group live.

This week, there were several announcements regarding events that live theater fans are sure to want to see. The first announcement came regarding the annual Tony Awards. Shortly after the nominees for the 68th Annual Tony Awards were revealed, tickets also went on sale to see the event live. This is a must-see production for fans of Broadway. The nominations for the event were revealed on April 29th, with the she A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder coming away with the most nominations with ten. Other big name productions such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch did well, as it grabbed eight nominations and After Midnight, The Glass Menagerie, The Carole King Musical and Twelfth Night all had seven nominations each. Famed television actor, Bryan Cranston also received his first ever nomination this year. This year, actor Hugh Jackman will be hosting the awards. Tickets go on sale May 1st to the public and the event is black tie only for ticket holders.

While many are celebrating the successful live productions of the past year, there are also new big announcements for the upcoming musical season. One of the biggest announcements recently is one from legendary Cuban-American singer Gloria Estefan. The performer has long been addressing rumors about her foray into the world of Broadway and now Estefan is releasing full details on the upcoming production.

This week, guitar legend Peter Frampton announced both a new tour and a new album. After unveiling plans for his new record,
the performer revealed that he will be heading out on a new summer tour. The tour outing was announced on the performer’s
64th birthday. During the tour, audiences can expect to hear some of the performers’ newest songs from his upcoming album,
set to be released next month. The tour officially kicks off on Saturday June 21st, 2014 and will include several big stops
along the way including shows at the Lincoln Center in Washington DC. Tickets to see the Grammy Award winning performer are
on sale now and available to the public for those looking to see the guitarist takes the stage live.

After much speculation regarding their plans for an upcoming tour, and rumors regarding the details of a new tour outing, Jay
Z and Beyonce have released the official lineup for their upcoming tour event. The new tour will be called the “On the Run”
tour, and despite previous plans to start the tour off in Atlanta, it will officially kick off in Miami on June 25th. From
there the concert will visit 15 additional major stadiums in some of the biggest markets in the United States and Canada. Big
stops along the way include shows in Toronto, Chicago and Philadelphia. The tour will also make stops in Atlanta at the
Georgia Dome and in New Orleans at the Mercedes Benz Superdome, among other famous arenas in North America. The tour will
officially wrap up in San Francisco at AT&T Park.

Paul McCartney And Austin City Limits Festival Update

This week, Paul McCartney revealed that he would be rescheduling the Chilean show for his international “Out There” outing. The legendary singer moved his show, back after the plane carrying his equipment was delayed. After news of this delayed show was revealed McCartney also announced that after the South American portion of his tour wraps up early next month that he will be heading to Asia and eventually North America. McCartney has added six additional concerts to his calendar starting with a show on July 9th in Chicago, IL. The singer will then stay on the road until wrapping up his outing on August 14th in San Francisco, California. During the tour McCartney will be promoting his latest studio album, called “New” which was released last October. Tickets are on sale now for the remaining stops along the singer’s massive global outing.

Miley Cyrus And Michael Buble Tour News

After much controversy surrounding her current Bangerz Tour, Miley Cyrus has revealed her plans regarding her missed concerts. The singer recently called an early end to the domestic leg of her tour after suffering from an allergic reaction that left her hospitalized for days. The 21 year old singer announced that she has postponed the remainder of her concert dates in the United States, but has already started to reschedule shows. Currently, several shows have been rescheduled for August. There are a handful of dates on the tour that have been cancelled altogether, including shows in Kansas City, St. Louis and Charlotte. The European leg of the tour will remain the same. So far, new shows have been rescheduled for August 4th in Pittsburgh and August 14th in Chicago. More rescheduled shows are expected to be announced in the coming months. Tickets for these newly rescheduled concerts are on sale now and available to the public and those who had their show cancelled.

Spring Time Theater Time

This week, there were several major announcements regarding big Broadway and touring productions. Theater fans will be delighted to hear that these productions will officially be opening to the public, just in time for spring. One of the first big announcements came regarding the new national tour for the production Dirty Dancing. This production is an adaptation of the 1987 hit film of the same name. The show will be launching its national tour this summer, starting with a show in Washington, D.C. The show will be premiering at The National Theatre on August 26th before touring across the country to 30 different markets in North America. Stops along the way include shows in Houston, Boston, Seattle and Ottawa. No other information on the tour has been revealed at this point. Tickets are expected to go on sale next month to the public.
