While the Chicago Bulls season got off to a rough start with the re-injury of star play Derrick Rose, this NBA powerhouse has proven they have the resilience to overcome one of the most devastating injuries in the team’s recent history. In fact, the Chicago Bulls are now the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, behind the Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat and the Atlantic Division leading Toronto Raptors. The Bulls have been dealing with roster issues throughout the season, in addition to the absence of Derrick Rose. At the beginning of 2014, the Bulls were seven games below .500 and the future was looking bleak.
However, the team is on a high note now, with the addition of hot shooter Jimmer Fredette and several small hot win streaks behind them as the hold a 33-27 record. Of course, there is also the presence of Joakim Noah. Head coach Tom Thibodeau has been confident in the abilities of Noah and the rest of the team to pick up the slack left with Rose’s injury. Noah immediately took the challenge and has been playing one of his best seasons to date. Noah just made his second All-Star game and has become a major offensive threat. In the last month he has had two triple doubles and many believe he’s playing MVP level basketball.
