Let The Fall Fun Begin

This week, the music world was buzzing after one of the biggest acts of the past year, Lady Antebellum, made a major announcement about their upcoming tour plans. The country group revealed that they will be heading out on the road for another tour event. Their current Take Me Downtown Tour will be continuing on to 2014. The band announced their tour in July of 2013, but the band has just revealed that they will be expanding this massive tour event. The tour starts on November of 2013 and now the band has revealed that this tour event will be expanding into 2014. The second portion of the tour will be kicking off on January 9th in Charleston, West Virginia after the band takes a brief break around the holidays. The tour will then wrap up in Knoxville, Tennessee on April 27th. During this tour event, the band will be joined on stage with opening acts Kacey Musgraves and Kip Moore.

Big Fish The Musical, The Lumineers and The Charioy

This week, the rock outfit The Chariot announced that they will be heading out on their final tour as a group as the band announced their upcoming farewell tour. The ban made the decision to split up after more than ten years together, but first they will be heading out on a new touring event. The tour will be kicking off this fall on October 10th in Columbia, South Carolina. From there the band will head out for additional stops on their All’s Well That Ends Well Tour, before wrapping up the event in their home state of Georgia with a final performance in Atlanta on November 16th. Tickets are on sale now and available to the public, will you be getting in on the action for the band’s final performances?

In other live entertainment news, the Broadway world is being treated to a new treat this September with the upcoming release of the live production of “Big Fish.” This Broadway adaptation of the famed movie and film of the same name will be hitting theaters on September 6th. The book that this production is based off of was written by Daniel Wallace and the production will feature performances from Kate Baldwin and Sandra Bloom. The production will be playing at the Neil Simon Theatre. Tickets go on sale to the public now for those who want to see all of the action live.

This week the blues singer Bonnie Riatt made a major announcement about her upcoming tour plans. After heading out on a European tour this summer, the music icon has revealed that she will be heading out on a new leg of her tour as part of her “Slipstream” tour event. This new tour will take the singer into North America. The singer just performed a single ‘one-off’ event on Thursday August 22nd in Costa Mesa, California and now she is planning to head out on her official outing which will begin on October 3rd. The singer will be starting the tour in Paso Robles, California and from there the singer will head out for 26 additional stops around the United States as part of this new exciting tour event. During her tour, the singer will be hitting several major markets in an event that will keep her on the road throughout the month of December. Tickets to see the ten-time-Grammy Award winner go on sale this month to the public.

Coheed and Cambria, Keith Urban and More

This week, the rock group Coheed and Cambria made a major announcement revealing their upcoming plans for a new tour event. The rockers revealed that they will be heading out for a new tour event that will take them across North America. The new event will be in support of the band’s upcoming album called The Aftermath: Descension. This album was released on February 5th and during this tour event, fans will be able to hear some of the biggest tracks from this album. The band will be headlining in the new tour which is slated to kick off this fall and take the rockers to 17 different major markets. The tour will also feature opening acts from Composure, Artists Balance and I the Mighty. The tour is officially kicking off on October 16th and will end in Atlantic City on November 9th. Tickets officially went on sale this Friday to the public; will you be seeing the rockets take the stage live in this new tour event?

TGIF Concert News

This week, recording artist Sara Bareilles announced new information for her new headlining tour event. The artist will be heading out on the road to support her upcoming album called “The Blessed Unrest” which will be the singer and musicians third record. This will be the visit to the Radio City Music Hall in New York City where she will be performing during this latest jaunt during the tour. The singer will be visiting several major markets including Philadelphia, St. Louis, Boston and Athens, Ohio. The tour will officially kick off on October 6th. Fans who want to see the singer and pianist perform live will want to make sure that they act fast when getting their tickets to the event as the singer’s latest tour, called the “Brave Enough Tour” sold out in just three minutes.

Country Update

This week there were two major announcements regarding the tours of some of today’s biggest country bands. One of the first big announcements of the week came from the standout country group, The Band Perry. The country rockers just revealed some new plans for a global tour event to support their latest hit album Pioneer. As part of this concert announcement the band revealed that they will be heading to Europe for the first time. The band will be making several European stops, in a concert event that will kick off on November 8th in Gotenborg, Sweden. The band will stay in Europe throughout December 5th, and will conclude their tour in the United Kingdom in the city of Balfast. Other stops include stops in Norway, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, and France. From there, the band will head back overseas to the United States on January 9th when the band will continue to tour in North America. This tour will kick off in Penticton, British Colombia, for the North American portion and then they will travel throughout Canada and the United States until the end of March. Tickets for these exciting concert events will go on sale to the public now.    

Fall Concert Update

This week the rockers Barenaked Ladies made an announcement regarding their upcoming tour event. The rock band announced that they were heading out on the road for a new fall tour event to support their recently released album known as Grinning Streak. The Canadian rock band will be celebrating their 25th anniversary event. The band is currently taking a break after spending the entire summer on the road and will be taking a brief break before they head back on the road for a new tour that will kick off this October.

The new tour event will be starting on October 9th and will officially launch in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During the tour event, the rockers will be visiting 19 different major markets across the United States. The tour will then wrap up in Buffalo, New York on November 9th. During the tour event the band will be joined on stage with opening act Whitehorse. Tickets to see this new tour will go on sale August 16th to the public. 

 

Big Gigantic and Bruce Springsteen

This week there were several major announcements from big name rockers regarding their upcoming tour plans. The first big announcement of the week came from the band Big Gigantic. The group revealed that they will be taking the stage for a new tour event that is slated to kick off in Reno, Nevada. The tour will be starting on September 3rd and will be called the Sky High Tour. From there the rock duo will be heading out to 29 additional stops around the United States and will be stopping in several major markets including Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and New Orleans during the trip. During the tour fans can expect to hear some of the band’s latest recordings as well as some of their biggest hits from their careers as well. The band will not only be performing some new selections during this tour event but they have also announced that they are donating a portion of each ticket that they will to benefit youth workshops. Tickets are now on sale for most stops on the tour event.

Who Likes Alternative?

This week the music industry was delivered with two major announcements from some of today’s biggest alternative rock bands. One of the big announcements of the week came from two of the industry’s most popular rock bands. This is when Alkaline Trio and New Found Glory announced that together they would be hitting the road for a new US tour event. The bands will be co-headlining their new effort as Alkaline Trio support their new live album called My Shame is True and New Found Glory promotes their upcoming live album Kill It Live, which is slated to be released in October. The tour will be supported by Rockstar Energy. The tour event will be kicking off this fall on October 23rd in San Francisco, California. From there, the rockers will be visiting some major markets including Chicago, Boston and Las Vegas. Tickets to see this tour event live will go on sale August 21st to the public.

OFWGKTA Carnival

This week, the official lineup for two of the biggest upcoming music festivals was released. The first major announcement came from the team behind the Rock the Bells concert event. This four concert show is known for bringing together some of the biggest stars in the world of rap and hip hop industry, and this year will be no difference. The event has announced that big names like Big Sean, Kid Cudio, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, J.Cole and Common, among others, will all be taking part in this concert event. The first show will be taking place on September 7th and 9th in Devore, California. From there the entire group of performers will be heading to Mountain View, California on the 14th and 15th of September as well as to Washington D.C. on September 28th and 29th. Finally the festival will be stopping in East Rutherford, New Jersey on October 4th-5th. Tickets for this event and 2 day passes to each of the stops are on sale now and available to the public.
