This week, the popular Indie-rock band, the Broken Bells announced that they will be taking their unique sound on the road for a brand new tour event. The Indie-rock group has revealed that they will be spending the later part of the summer on a new tour around North America. The tour will be supporting their latest album “After the Disco.” The group consists of two members, producer Danger Mouse, and singer James Mercer from The Shins. According to the announcement from the duo, they will kick off their tour on July 31st with a performance in Chicago. From there the band will play another 20 concerts, including several festival appearances. The tour will officially wrap up on October 28th in San Francisco. The band will also be joined on stage by two opening acts: Phantogram and Austra. Tickets go on sale this week for the event.
Another big announcement this week came from The Who. The group has not only revealed plans for a new worldwide 50th anniversary tour, but they have just announced plans to enter to studio to record a new album. The band’s official tour, which will be called ‘The Who Hits 50,” will begin on November 26th with a performance in Dublin, Ireland. From there the rockers will head out to another 19 shows across the UK and will continue to tour around the country.
