You’ve got three years to catch Celine in Vegas, starting… now.

03.02.2011 at 6:52 pm by Amy

If you’re like many people, you’ve heard the name Celine Dion for decades – and for good reason. She’s been one of the most easily recognized voices in show business for years. And starting on March 15, 2011, she’s about to kick off her newest run in Las Vegas, with three-year engagement at the Roman Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace – the very same place that was initially built to host her hit show “A New Day” in 2003!

“I’m coming back home to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace,” says Celine, “and I’m very excited about it. With the orchestra and the band we’re going to be able to perform our songs like never before.  The repertoire is going to be extraordinary, a mix of timeless hit songs made famous by some incredible artists, along with all the favorites my fans like to hear me sing.  It’s going to be a very beautiful show and I think we’ll be raising the bar higher than we’ve ever done before.  There’ll be some truly wonderful moments.  I can’t wait!”

We can’t wait either, and if ticket sales are any indication, neither can the fans. Celine’s new run, with music based on hit Hollywood movies includes a tribute to Michael Jackson, a tribute to James Bond and up to seven costume changes. Where vocals meet visuals – this is it! 02.28.2011 at 8:55 pm by Amy

The multi-platinum-selling group Def Leppard may have taken a break, but they’re definitely not done. Def Leppard is hitting the tour circuit again this year, complete with their iconic light and laser show, which means big music and even bigger visuals.

Accompanying them will be 70’s and 80’s rock legends Heart, the band responsible for a whole lot of American idol performances (some better than others – thank you Carrie Underwood).

If 80’s glam rock is your thing, bookmark our Def Leppard concert tickets to catch them when they’re in your town – dates start in June of this year!

Newest members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

12.15.2010 at 2:19 pm by Amy

This morning, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced their newest inductees into the acclaimed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

Alice Cooper Band
Neil Diamond
Dr. John
Darlene Love
Tom Waits

Each inductee was chosen by more than 500 voters of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, and became eligible for the recognition 25 years after the release of their first recording. President and CEO Joel Peresman said today of the five newest members, “They truly represent the variety of people that have defined and continue to influence music and the business of Rock and Roll.”

What do you think? Did the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation get it right? Myriad voices on twitter seem to think Jon Bon Jovi was deserving of the spot, but it would seem the voters spoke otherwise. Maybe next year? Regardless, a big congratulations to the newest artists on the list!

Justin Bieber re-schedules NY State Fair concert

08.31.2010 at 5:19 pm by Amy

Looks like Justin Bieber’s Sunday, 8/29 performance, which was rescheduled for Wednesday, 9/1, will go on Wednesday as planned, much to the relief of everyone who moved their schedules to get back to the State Fair three days later!

From the NY State Fair website:

“The Fair was notified Saturday during the grandstand concert that, due to an illness, Justin Bieber has re-scheduled his Sunday, Aug. 29 concert at the New York State Fair to Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 7pm.

As a result, promoters for Justin Bieber have had to reschedule the Verizon Wireless Arena show in Manchester, New Hampshire, which was scheduled for Wednesday, Sept 1. That show will be moved to Thursday, Dec. 9 in order to accommodate re-schedule the Fair date.

The Fair will honor all tickets issued for Sunday’s show for the new date on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Any ticket that cannot be used should be returned to the point of sale for a refund prior to Wednesday’s show. The refunds will be processed at 10 am Sunday morning.”

Kings of Leon coming back to finish the show!

08.18.2010 at 12:33 pm by Amy

Looks like those who experienced Pigeongate are in luck, as the Kings of Leon WILL be rescheduling their ill-fated show from last month! Fans who bought tickets to the July 23rd show at the Verizon Amphitheatre will have free entry to a newly scheduled show on September 25th in St. Louis. Notably, the new show will also also be at Verizon Amphitheatre, so we can only assume there’s been some pigeon-eviction notices served.

If you’re a ticket-holder for that July 23rd show, and you’re not sure what to do, call our customer service number at 1-866-353-5167 for the details on getting in to your free show.
