Taylor Swift still headed upwards

By Amy | January 14th, 2010

If you think Taylor Swift is a passing phase, don’t be expecting a quick fade any time soon. Taylor holds the title of best-selling musician of the year in 2008 in the US – that’s from all genres, not just country – and was named Artist of the Year by Billboard Magazine in 2009. Her second album, Fearless, spent more time at No. 1 than any other album in the past decade, and just this month, Taylor Swift was named the top-selling digital artist in history, with over 24.3 million digital tracks sold! (Now do you understand why your daughter wants to see her in concert more than anything else in the known world?)

Tickets are easy to buy online at Coast to Coast for Taylor Swift concerts all over the US this Spring, so check here for the full set of dates and shows!

Lady Gaga’s schedule just got a little lighter…

By Amy | December 29th, 2009

A sneak peek from the newsletter – I hate to duplicate content, but if you’re one of those holding or wanting tickets to Lady Gaga this fall, this is important stuff.

—————-
If you’ve been online, or watched TV, or just plain been alive for the past year, you’ve heard of Lady Gaga.

Her rise from open mic night singer to superstar has been nothing short of meteoric, and her upcoming Monster Ball tour‘s been making headlines for months, especially on the heels of her ill-fated tour with Kanya West, which was called off back in October. But the news as of this week? More cancellations, including shows in Orlando, Long Island, Chicago, Detroit and Dallas.

There are still shows going on as planned, however, so if you hold Lady Gaga tickets, be sure to check the official sites for your venue to find out if your show’s still on. (And if you need a refund, don’t lose your tickets, since you might need to send them back to receive your refund!)

All Dressed Up and Nowhere To Go?

By Amy | December 11th, 2009

To help you plan out some glad tidings for you and your kin, we’ve compiled a list of holiday events, and as you’ve already guessed, we’ve got tickets for them all at Coast to Coast!

Let’s start with the granddaddy of all Christmas shows, or the Radio City Christmas Spectacular! 2008 was the largest production in the show’s 77-year history, and this year’s tour has expanded to 31 cities, making it the most cities ever visited in one season! You can catch this year’s show, featuring the Parade of the Wooden Soldiers, a tour of Santa’s workshop, a Living Nativity, and of course the stunning Rockettes in its home location of New York’s Radio City Music Hall, as well as Louisville, Cincinnati, Nashville, Lexington, Grand Prairie, Greenville, Seattle, Fairfax and Baltimore – just to  name a few. Then again, maybe none of those are close enough? Well, if you’re in Atlantic City, you can catch the Spirit of Christmas at the Atlantic City Hilton, complete with your favorite Christmas songs, dazzling costumes and high-kicking chorus girls.

In Redding, CA and York, PA?  Celtic Christmas brings native Irish storytelling featuring Grammy-award winning guitar, haunting vocals, Irish fiddles, world-champion level Irish dancers and more to the stage in your hometown!

What to buy, what to buy…

By Amy | December 11th, 2009

If you’re like everyone else when it comes to holidays, you’re racking your brain trying to figure out what to give Mom, Dad, and Uncle Bob for Christmas (okay, so we know that at least one of you reading probably finished your shopping back in July, but we’re talking to the rest of you here). And if you’re like most of us, you run into the same problem every year… if it’s something that your loved one would like, chances are they’ve already got it. Remember that snazzy breadmaker you saw in the department store? They’ve got that tucked away under the kitchen counter. And that striped golf shirt you debated over for Dad? Sure, it’ll look great hanging next to his other 56 striped golf shirts.

Your best bet to get out of this mess is to not buy an item, but an experience! There’s no way your Mom has a Jimmy Buffett concert tucked under her kitchen counter, and we can absolutely promise that your Dad doesn’t have a Masters tournament hanging next to his plaid golf pants. If you know anything at all about the people on your shopping list, you’re bound to know whether they’re a theater fan, or hugely into (squeee!) the Jonas Brothers – and with that info, you’re armed to buy them something that they’ll absolutely love, and something they definitely don’t have.
