Midwinter Concert News

This week there were several big announcements revealed about the upcoming international concerts that will be taking place in 2014. One of the announcements of the week came from The Pretty Reckless. They will be headlining the return of the SnoCore Winter Tour. The rockers have had a dedicated following during their latest tour and will be reaching even more fans as part of their SnoCore Winter Tour event. Here fans can also hear some of the band’s latest songs performed live. This tour event has taken a two- year hiatus and will now officially be returning to the stage. Other performers for the tour will include Heaven’s Basement, Crobot and The Letter Black. Tickets are on sale now and available to the public.

Another big announcement came from the alternative rockers OneRepublic. The rockers revealed that they have mapped out a new outing that includes runs in both Europe and North America. The new tour from the Colorado natives will mark their first foray into Europe. According to the rockers they will begin this exciting new tour in late January. From there the rockers will visit 28 different stops to major markets. The tour will keep the band on the road through late March. On this new tour event, fans of the rockers will hear some of the rockers’ biggest singles from their career in the industry as well as some of their new songs.

This week there were several big announcements for music fans, including an announcement from Jennifer Nettles. The country superstar revealed that she will be heading out on a new solo release album called “That Girl.” The singer will be taking a break from performing with Sugarland to head out on the road for this new solo effort with a subsequent run. During her new tour, Jennifer Nettles will be taking the stage alone and treating fans to singles from her solo album. This new album is set to be released on January 14th. The tour, called the “new Girl” tour will officially kick off on Valentine’s Day on February 14thin in Washington, DC. From there Jennifer Nettles will head to 13 different stops during her trek. Goo Goo Dolls and Chromeo Update

This week, there were several big announcements from today’s leading artists about their upcoming tour events. One of the big announcements of the week came from the electrofunk duo, Chromeo. The artists revealed that they will be hitting the road this spring for a brand new tour event. This 2014 tour came shortly after the duo released their latest album. This new effort is a collaboration with Toro Y Moi called “Come Alive.” According to an announcement from the band, the group will be heading out on the new tour beginning at the House of Blues in Texas. The tour will officially kick off on April 6th and will keep the band on the road through June 6th. During this new tour event, the group will be stopping in several major cities across the United States and will even perform in several cities overseas before wrapping up their tour in London. Tickets are on sale now and available to the public for those who want to see the group perform live.

Theater Season 2014 News

Now that the holiday season has come and gone, the Broadway theatre world is back in full swing and there are several exciting productions that are taking place in the regular Broadway season. One of the most talked about new productions is the musical starring Gerry Goffin known as Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. This production is taking place at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre and is one of the most talked about new productions of the season. The show will be filled with classic hits from Carole King as well as some new musical productions that are sure to have audiences dancing in the aisles. Another much talked about live theatrical production is coming to audiences starting this January with the new production of Intimacy. For sports fans, it is currently one of the most exciting times of the year for some of the most popular professional sports. For hockey fans, the season is in full swing and now many of the most important games of the season are being played to determine rankings for the top NHL teams. Right now some of the big games to watch are the Bruins, the Lightning and Red Wings and the Maple Leafs. One of the most talked about shows of 2014 will undoubtedly be the Mrs. Carter Show tour featuring Beyoncé. The singer has just announced the official dates for her 2014 tour event, including some newly added shows. While fans of the singer have already been anticipating shows slated until March, the 17-time Grammy Award winner has announced several new shows for 2014, including an additional 16 shows in Europe. Another big concert event for 2014 will be the upcoming slew of tour stops from rapper 2 Chainz. The rap superstar just announced last month that he will be heading out on his own new tour event starting on February 4th, 2014 at the House of Blues in Boston. The rapper will be joined on stage by Pusha T and will visit a total of 21 cities including New York, Las Vegas, Miami and Chicago. With 2014 just about to kick off, there have been many exciting new announcements for the upcoming year regarding the 2014 live performance schedule. There are many new productions that will be hitting the Broadway stage in 2014 and many of them involve performances from some of the biggest names in Hollywood. One of the biggest announcements of the week came regarding the upcoming production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. The new production is scheduled to begin on February 4th on Broadway and the team behind the new musical has just revealed that the lead in the role will be replaced by pop star Carly Rae Jepsen. The singer will be replacing Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes in the title role. The team behind Cinderella also revealed that they will be recasting to role of Madame the evil step-mother with actress Fran Drescher. Carly Rae Jepsen is most known for her hit single “Call Me Maybe.” This will be her first time taking on the Broadway stage. Tickets are available now to see this production live.

This week, there were a handful of big announcements for live music fans. One of the first big announcements of the week came from Reverend Horton Heat. According to the band, they will be heading out on the road for a new tour backing their latest album called “Rev.” This new tour will start in Cheyenne, Wyoming on January 2nd. The trio will visit 37 different cities before wrapping the tour up in Montebello, Quebec on June 20th. During this tour fans can expect to hear songs from the group’s latest album which will appear in stores on January 21st. According to an announcement from the band, the record will contain the group’s lead single “Spooky Boots.” Tickets to see these performers take the stage live in their new tour event are on sale now and available to the public.

End Of 2013 Broadway Update

This week, there were several big announcements from the world of Broadway about upcoming live theatrical productions, proving that 2014 will be an exciting year for the theatre world. One of the big upcoming performances for 2014 will be the production of Hedwig, which will star Neil Patrick Harris. This exciting new production will officially premiere on March 29th, 2014. In the play, Harris will take on a role as an East German transgendered rock singer in a production based off the 1998 musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The Broadway production of the show will play at the Belasco Theatre and will be directed by Michael Mayer. Tickets for this production are on sale now and available to those who want to see Neil Patrick Harris in this fun, over the top role.

Another big production for the 2014 spring theatre season will be the new rendition of the popular novel The Bridges of Madison County. This book, which was also transformed into a movie of the same name, has captured hearts all around the country and is now coming to the Broadway stage. Previews for this new musical will take place on January 17th at the Schonefeld and will star as Kelli O’Hara and Steven Pasquale who play a photographer and a housewife that fall in love in Iowa in 1965.

End Of The Year Concert Update

This week there were several big announcements that hit the entertainment industry.  One of the first big announcements of the week came from the metal band Dream Theater. The rockers revealed new plans to tour through Europe in early 2014. The band will then be heading out on the North American leg of their tour called the “Along for the Ride” tour. The European trek will now be taking place over the course of two month and they will be touring over the course of the next two months. The band will then return to North American in Toronto, Canada on March 20th. Then the rockers will continue to tour from coast to coast doing more than three dozen shows, before wrapping up their tour in Los Angeles, California on April 19th, before heading to Mexico for a few final performances. Another major announcement this week came from the folk-pop singer and songwriter Brett Dennen. The singer revealed that he will be heading out on a new late spring European tour event. From there the singer will go into a Northern American theater show behind his album “Smoke and Mirrors” fifth studio album “Smoke and Mirrors.” The singer will start these shows on February 14th.
