2013 Stanley Cup finals Update

When the 2013 Stanley Cup finals first got underway, hockey fans knew that it would be an exciting matchup between the two elite teams. However, no fans were expecting what they would see in this exciting game one event. As the Chicago Blackhawks and the Boston Bruins took the ice, one of the most riveting games in professional hockey got underway. A game that would eventually put the Bruins in a comfortable two goal lead position late in regulation play. However, the Chicago Blackhawks came back with an exciting round of goals that would tie the games at 3-3 and send the match into overtime. This overtime play soon went into triple overtime and after three additional periods of play, it was the Chicago Blackhawks that came out on top 4-3 and leading the series 1-0.

After the exciting opening game of the series, game two began, with the Bruins looking to bounce back from their defeat by the Blackhawks. As the game got underway it seemed as though the teams were seeing a repeat of their exhausting game one, as the matchup headed into overtime. The Bruins took the game into overtime after the Blackhawks got an early 1-0 lead in the series. After tying the game at 1-1 the Bruins scored a quick second goal in overtime to clinch the win and tie the series, proving that this would be one series that fans from either side would not soon forget.

Blondie, Rob Zombie and More

This week iconic rock band, Blondie made a major announcement about their upcoming tour schedule. The band which first rose to fame in the 1980s revealed that they would be heading out on the road for a new live tour event. The tour will be following a summer U.K. and European tour and will bring the band to different venues in the United States. The band revealed that they will be hitting the road with fellow rock outfit X this fall for a tour event that will be kicking off in Hampton Beach, NH on September 5th. The tour will be making stops in 18 different cities on this event and will wrap up on October 4th in New York City.

During these concerts fans can expect to hear some of the band’s most famous songs from their decades in the industry as well as some of their newest recordings performed live. As part of the event, the fans that visit the show will also receive five exclusive mp3 files for five new tracks that the band has yet to release. Tickets for the highly anticipated Blondie tour event go one sale to the public on Friday June 21st.

Heat vs Spurs NBA Finals Update

When game 1 of the NBA finals began, fans and analysts alike were anxious to see how the San Antonio Spurs would perform after a nearly 10 day break after their conference championship sweep. While some wondered if they would be too rested to take on the hot Miami Heat, the Spurs proved otherwise. Thanks to an outstanding performance from team leader Tim Duncan, the Spurs won the first game of the series, getting an important road win, and taking an early lead. By the time game 2 rolled around, the Spurs may have been feeling good about their road win against the Heat, but the Miami team was ready for vengeance. After 17 turnovers, the Spurs went on to be trampled by the Heat in a 103-84 loss, tying the series, and leaving the Spurs ready to fight back.

Summer Concert Tour News

This This week Jack Johnson announced major plans for his upcoming tour schedule. The performer garnered a great deal of attention when they just filled in for the group Mumford & Sons at the Bonaroo Music Festival. Shortly after the concert, the performer revealed that he will be heading out on a new tour of Europe and North America that will start on September 5th. The tour will be tied with the performer’s sixth studio album called From Here To Now To You. The tour will include several events that will keep the artist on the road throughout October 19th. Tickets for the event go on sale June 20th to the public.

In other event news, the company Funny or Die is presenting their first ever comedy festival. The event is known as the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival and it will be the largest outdoor comedy tour. According to reports, the event will features Dave Chappelle, Flight of the Conchords, Demetri Martin and Al Madrigal. The event will include 13 different shows on their event. Tickets go on sale Friday June 21st to the public.

My Morning Jacket, Jimmy Buffett and Luke Bryan

This week it was revealed that one of the biggest rock bands in the morning My Morning Jacket will be heading out on a new tour event. The band revealed that they would be hosting their own all-inclusive festival event called the One Big Holiday event. This concert experience will be taking place over four days at the new Hard Rock Hotel in the Riviera Maya in Mexico. This festival will include several different concert events including other festivals as well. During this concert event, fans will get to see the group perform some of their biggest hits and some of their new songs as well as some of their latest singles from their own records. Tickets to see this event take place will go one sale June 21st to the general public.

In other concert news events, Jimmy Buffett revealed that he will be playing a new concert event for a new special benefit in Boston Massachusetts to help support the victims of the Boston Marathon. The event will be held on June 20th at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston and all proceeds of the event will go to the victims of the bombings. Tickets are still on sale now for those who want to see this special concert event live.

This week, the iconic rock band, The Replacements, made a major announcement revealing they would be making a long awaited return for fans and will make it back to the stage in a new concert tour event. The rockers will be headlining three different stops on this year’s Riot Fest after more than 22 years away from the stage. Tickets to see the group perform in these exciting new headlining events go on sale this week.

Another big announcement from one of the most celebrated rock bands in the business was also revealed this week when the Irish rockers My Bloody Valentine announced that they would be heading out on the road for a new US summer leg of their European tour. After demand from fans, wanting to see the rockers in the United States, the Dublin based act announced that they would be heading to the states to promote their recent album “MBV.” The US leg of their tour will kick off on August 16th in Austin, TX and then move through five major markets. The band will also be headlining the LA FYF Fest later on this summer. This will be the first time the band has toured in North America since 2009. Tickets are on sale now for fans who want to see all of the action live.

June Concert News

This week it was announced that tickets will be going on sale for the first ever Breakaway Music Festival. This music festival is set to hit two major cities this September and will be held in different soccer stadiums. The first location for the Breakaway Music Festival will be Columbus, Ohio and the event will take place at Crew Stadium on September 14th. On September 21st, the festival will be making its way to another soccer stadium when it visits the FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Each version of the festival will feature a slightly different lineup. In Columbus, the headliners will include acts such as Bassnectar, Kendrick Lamar, Empire of the Sun and Juicy J. In Dallas, headliners will include Big Gigantic, Wu Tang Clan, Explosions in the Sky, and Juicy J. Tickets for the festival events will go on sale to the public on June 21st.

This week there has already been several major announcements from some of the biggest rock groups in the business, getting many rock n’ roll fans exciting about the upcoming summer and fall tour season. One of the first announcements came from the band Cold War Kids, the California rockers revealed that they will follow up their current tour event with The Lumineers with a new summer club and theatre tour. The rock group will spend the rest of the month with The Lumineers before heading out for their new event. The new tour will kick off on August 15th in San Diego, California and include 23 different stops on the outing before wrapping up this November.

Another rock group, the Queens of the Stone Age made an announcement of their own about adding more US shows to their current touring event when they revealed that they will be heading out on a new set of US shows after finishing up the leg of their current European tour. The rockers will return to the United States on August 2nd for a kick off performance in Lollapalooza before heading out on a tour that will include 25 different concerts. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.

This week, hit pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen made an announcement about her upcoming summer tour plans. The singer and songwriter revealed that she would be spending the summer touring around to different fairs, venues, and radio shows while headlining a number of gigs across the United States. The new tour event will be kicking off this week in June 8th in Portsmouth, VA. From here, the singer will continue to tour around the country throughout the summer until her tour wraps up on September 20th in Puyallup, Washington. This new tour event will be in support of Jepsen’s sophomore album “Kiss.” Those who want to see the Grammy award nominated performer take the stage live in the new tour event can get tickets now to see Carly Rae Jepsen in her summer tour events.


In other touring news the hard rock group Clutch just announced they would be heading out on a new tour event this summer. Currently the band is in Europe touring some of the biggest venues in the area promoting their “Earth Rocker” event. Now the band is announcing a new US tour where they will be visiting some of the most popular club and theater venues. The tour kicks off on September 14th in Baltimore, Maryland and will include 36 different stops in different markets. Tickets go on sale to see the group perform live this week.

Bob Dylan, NIN, US Open Tennis

This week, it was revealed that the hit rock band Nine Inch Nails will be hitting the road for a new fall tour event. The new tour will keep the band on the road throughout most of the 2013 fall season and will be promoting their new upcoming single and album. The tour will be called the Nine Inch Nails: Tension 2013” tour and it will include 30 different shows beginning in November and lasting through November.  Tickets for this tour go on sale to the public on June 14th.


Another major rock artist also made an announcement this week when Bob Dylan revealed that he would be hitting the road for a new tour event. The rock legend revealed that he will be adding an addition concert to his 2013 summer tour and that the icon will now be playing an event in his hometown of Duluth, Minnesota. During this concert and during all of Dylan’s summer time shows, fans can expect to hear a number of his biggest hits from the past few decades in the business as well as some of his new recordings as well. Tickets to see this concert and to see all of Bob Dylan’s other shows throughout the summer are on sale now and available to the public.
