Pro Bowl Weekend

With this weekend being the annual NFL Pro Bowl, and tickets still available for the event there are many who have their eyes on the NFL this weekend. It has been revealed that if players don’t take the game seriously that the event could be suspended and that this could be the last annual all-star game. This is a move that has increased ticket sales but caused concern with many fans. The event is being held in Honolulu, HI on January 27th. In addition to looking to the Pro Bowl event, most football fans are gearing up for next weekend’s Super Bowl in New Orleans. Tickets are still available for the February 3rd event for those who are looking to see the biggest game of the year and the matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. There are still both traditional tickets and VIP passes available for the event.

While many are looking to get their tickets to these two big NFL events; another big event that many are clamoring for tickets to another NFL centered event and for is the annual Bay to Breakers event in San Francisco, California. The event is designed to focus on community and local pride and has been one of the biggest events in the city of San Francisco for years. It was announced this week that tickets for the annual event which includes costume contests and a 12k run/walk event are now on sale. This is the 102nd annual event. Tickets are now open to the public for the whole day of festivities with ticket prices starting at $53.00 for adults and $48.00 for kids. However those who are looking to see the event live will want to act fast as these tickets are known for selling out fast.

However one of the biggest announcements of the week came from two of the biggest rock n’ roll performers in the country; Kid Rock and Bob Seger. Both Kid Rock and rocker Bob Seger with his band the Silver Bullets revealed they would be on tour this spring for multi-city US tours. During both of their tours the rockers will cross paths in both Fargo, ND and St. Paul, MN and will co-headline a pair of US shows. These shows promise to be some of the biggest in the music industry and only two co-headlining events will be part of their tours. Sports and Concert Update

This week, on Thursday January 17th, tickets will officially go on sale for the AFC Championship game in the NFL. Official ticket sales began Thursday at 10:00 a.m. eastern standard time. This exciting matchup will take place at Gillette Stadium in Boston, home of the New England Patriots as they host inner conference rivals; the Baltimore Ravens. This AFC title game will be a repeat of last year’s matchup and promises to be and exciting game for football fans of all types to catch live. Those who are looking to get in on the action in person can get their tickets now.

Meanwhile in the rock world Bob Seger and his band, The Silver Bullet Band announced they will be heading out on their latest tour and visiting venues across North America. The tour will take the group through parts of Canada and into the western United States. The group released the official schedule for the first part of the tour this week revealing additional dates are expected to be added to the schedule. This massive tour will be kicking off on February 27th in Toledo, OH and currently has 10 more arena shows as part of the itinerary. Tickets for the first leg of the tour will go on sale this week on January 19th.

Finally one of the biggest announcements of this week came from country super star Kenny Chesney. The multi-talented performer revealed that he would be adding 28 additional dates to his “No Shoes Nation Tour” extending the tour through the spring and summer of 2013. The tour, which will be presented by Corona Light is scheduled to kick off at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Florida. Thanks to the early success of early ticket sales; the performer decided to add more stops on the tour which will now include 45 different venues. During the event, audiences can expect to see opening acts such as the Eli Young Band, Kacey Musgraves, Eric Church and the Zac Brown Band.
