Fans of professional sports, particularly hockey were left with a sour taste in their mouth this week, after the NHL made a very disappointing announcement for fans. After many expected that the NHL would truly return in the beginning of November and with games slated for November 1st, the NHL recently announced that they would be canceling even more games in the season. Currently the entire schedule for the month of November has been cancelled until further notice.

While sports fans may be reeling from this recent, announcement there is plenty in the world of entertainment to keep those around the country entertained until the return of hockey. Unfortunately, for many of those living on the East coast, looking to attend Broadway performances, many of the shows in New York have been cancelled through the 31st of October or until further notice due to the effects of hurricane Sandy and the many without power. However, once Broadway productions do start resuming as normal, fans looking to get into the holiday spirit can enjoy special performances of the live adaptation of “A Christmas Story” for which dates have officially been announced.
