This week it was revealed that the hit band Phish would be taking the road in a new live tour event. The wildly popular jam band has been part of the music scene for years and is often hailed as one of the most popular bands to see live in concert. Much to the delight of fans from all over the country, the Vermont-based rockers will be heading out on a tour that will start this summer. The 2013 Phish summer tour event will features several multiple-night stays in venues such as Commerce City, Colorado, Saratoga Springs and San Francisco. The band will be performing three nights in a row during these three spots. Although the band is making a handful of several night residencies, fans should still get their tickets early as this group is known for selling out some of the biggest arenas in the country fast night after night. Tickets for the 2013 Phish summer tour are on sale and available to the public now.

While many music fans are ready to purchase their Phish tickets to see this band take the stage live, many music fans are also excited about another big summer tour performance that will be taking place this year. At the annual South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas, Yahoo! announced they would be starting a new annual music festival, known as the On The Road Music Festival. The first annual festival will be a mobile music festival that will travel to cities both in the United States and in Europe.

The 2013 inaugural event will be headlined by acts such as Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Fun and The Lumineers. Select locations will also have appearances from Justin Timberlake and Frank Ocean as well. The 2013 On the Road Music Festival will kick off in New York City on May 3rd and will end in London on July 14th. Fun, Fall Out Boy and Daniel Tosh

While this week has been all about the beginning of music festival ticket sales for many music fans; there have also been a number of other live entertainment announcements this week. A big announcement came this week from the pop sensation; Fun, the popular group behind the hit 2012 smashes “Some Nights” and “Tonight (We Are Young).” The group revealed that they will be heading out on a new headlining tour across North America this summer beginning in May. Tickets go on sale this week.

Another rock band is announcing their own tour ticket sales as well. This announcement came from veteran rock band Fall Out Boy who revealed that they would be working together once again and heading out on a reunion tour. The group revealed that they would be playing some of their biggest hits on this larger than life tour as well as some new recordings. The tour began this week and the group will make stops in New York and Los Angeles this month as well. Tickets for their one off show in London, which are already projected to sell out quickly, go on sale this Friday to the public. The London show will be held February 25th.

However, the biggest announcement of the week undoubtedly came from the comedy world when it was revealed that popular comedian Daniel Tosh will be hitting the road on a major nation-wide tour. This tour called “The June Gloom Tour” is being presented by Comedy Central and Live Nation and will feature the stand up and host of the Comedy Central show Tosh.0 in a live spectacular event. The entertainer, who already has a reputation for selling out some of the biggest venues in the country during his sporadic live appearances will be hitting the road beginning on May 30th in Salt Lake City for this massive tour. Tosh will be joined by opening act and special guest comedian Jarrod Carmichael. During “The June Gloom Tour” Daniel will be visiting 25 different cities across the country.
