Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean Tour and More

This week the popular rock band Sleater-Kinney shocked fans with two major announcements. First the band, which consists of Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss confirmed the release of their first new album in more than 10 years, and launched a new single “Bury Our Friends.” The new album will be called No Cities to Love and it is set to debut on January 20th of 2015. The band kept the recording top secret, to keep fans surprised. In addition to releasing new music the group will also be heading out on the road for a new tour to promote their new effort. The reunion tour will start next February. The tour officially kicks off on February 8th in Spokane, WA. The show will keep the rockers on the road, visiting venues in both the US and Europe, until March 26th, where the tour will wrap up in Dublin, Ireland. Tickets are on sale now for this highly anticipated reunion tour.

Last week, country superstar Jason Aldean made a stop during his tour event to perform at the March Madness Music Festival. However, the award-winning performer has revealed that he is pushing forward with his domestic tour, starting with his next performance on April 13th at the Country Thunder in Florence, Arizona. Thanks to the tremendous success of his current outing, the singer has also added a handful of additional tour stops to his current jaunt, as he brings his high energy performance style to more fans from around the globe.

According to his announcement, the singer will be stopping on June 6th for an appearance at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. Then the singer will be heading to Country on the River in Wisconsin and finally headlining a new concert event in Toronto, Ontario on August 28th. These dates and others along the tour schedule feature special performances from hit artists, including Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. Tickets are on sale now for these newly added dates and other performances along Aldean’s massive tour event. However, those looking to see the concert live will want to act fast as Aldean is known for being able to sell out massive arenas quickly.

The popular female rock band Haim have just revealed that they will be taking this show called the “Days are Gone” outing on an international tour The singers will be visiting Europe and North American this spring supporting their top ten album of the same name. The North American portion of the tour will include 23 major market stops including two shows in Canada and will keep the rockers on the road throughout July. Tickets are on sale now.

This week it was revealed that Jason Aldean has officially sold out his new “Night Train” tickets and that he will be adding 50 new concerts to his current outing. The Georgia native has been promoting this new tour, which has been slated as one of the most successful of the year, with several big performances all over the country. The newly added shows will keep Aldean on the road throughout the summer and will include stops at several fairs and festivals including the Florida Country Superfest, WE Fest and the New York State Fair. Tickets are on sale now for these new shows.

This week Eric Clapton also made a major announcement that has Alabama based fans reeling with excitement. The iconic performer revealed that he will be adding one more tour date to his current outing and making an additional stop at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater in Alabama. One of the biggest announcements this week came from country superstar Jason Aldean. The singer visited Good Morning America last week to announce his new tour plans to the public. This new tour event will take the singer to approximately 50 cities during a new event called the Burn It Down tour. According to the singer, during this new tour event, he will also be partnering up with the MLB for special performances that will bring the actor to several big name stadiums such as National Park and Citizens Bank Park. During the new tour event Aldean will be joined on stage by opening acts Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. During the new tour, fans of the singer can
expect to hear some of his biggest hits of his career as well as several of his latest singles, performed live. The tour will officially kick off on May 1st of this year and will keep the singer on the road throughout the summer. Tickets for the new event officially go on sale to the public on January 24th for those who want to see the singer live.

Arcade Fire, Wisconsin Country Thunder and more

This week there were several ticketing announcements about upcoming musical tour events. One of the biggest announcements of the week came from the rock band Arcade Fire. The rockers just revealed that they have added more shows to their current 2014 major market tour. This North American tour known as “Reflektor.” The Grammy award winning band will be starting this new tour on March 6th of next year. The tour will officially kick off in Louisville, Kentucky. Right now thanks to the additional shows, the band will stay on the road throughout August 30th. The band will officially wrap up the tour in Montreal, Canada. Tickets are now on sale for all of these dates including the newly added shows.

This week, the official line up for the Wisconsin Country Thunder summer tour event was revealed. The four day event will be taking place on July 24th-27th in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. According to the announcement there have been several big name performers who have confirmed they will be taking the stage as part of this annual country music summer music festival. Headliners for this exciting country music event include Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and Brantley Gilbert. There will also be other performers taking the stage at this event including Gary Allan, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Mark Chesnutt and more. Tickets will go on sale early next year for this event.

Oldies But Goodies Plus Some Serious Country

This week a major tour announcement from one of the most popular jazz singers in the business has had music fans excited for what spring 2014 will hold. This announcement came from Jazz singer Diana Krall. The songstress revealed information about her upcoming worldwide tour called the “Glad Rag Tour” revealing the official stops for the final leg of this jaunt. According to the announcement the last leg of the tour will begin on April 4th in Northridge, California before it visits several theaters across the West Coast. The final leg of the tour will then wrap up on April 16th in Seattle. The tour will be promoting the singer’s latest album, her 11th studio record, titled “Glad Rag Doll.” Krall is currently on the road and has already performed 109 different shows promoting this latest record on this massive world tour event.

Another major music announcement this week came from Neil Young. The performer, along with his band Crazy Horse had announced earlier this week that they had to cancel their tour due to an injury of the Crazy Horse guitarist. However, there is now good news for Neil Young fans. The performer revealed that he will be performing four new shows at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The newly unveiled shows will be taking place his January with performances being held January 6th-10th. Tickets are now on sale and available to the public for those who want to see Neil Young and Crazy Horse take the stage live in a new concert event.

Fall Concert News

This week the official line up for the 8th annual Stagecoach Festival was revealed. According to the team behind the three-day country festival, the event’s official line up will include headlining performances from Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Eric Church. The festival will be taking place next spring, April 25th-27th at the Indio Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. These are not the only performers for the vent either. The announcement revealed that other acts such as Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Loretta Lynn, Hunter Hayes, Jennifer Nettles and John Prine will all also be performing at the event. Tickets go on sale this week on October 18th for those looking to see all of the action unfold live.

Rock and Roll 

However, one of the biggest announcements of the week came when the official lineup for the iHeartRadio holiday run was revealed. This year’s iHeartRadio ingle Ball tour will feature some of the biggest names in music and will include an extensive three week holiday tour that will keep the artists on the road throughout much of the holiday season. The current tour plans involve 12 city stops, starting on December 2nd in Dallas, Texas and wrapping up on December 20th in Miami, Florida. During the tour, fans can expect to hear short sets from the event’s artists and unique collaborations from the talent, for a concert experience designed to be unlike any other.

John Mayer, George Strait, Martina McBride and More

This week Grammy award winning singer and songwriter, John Mayer, made a major announcement about his current Paradise Valley tour. The singer has revealed that he has just added 20 more dates to the North American leg of his current tour thanks to the tremendous success of this latest album. The new leg of the tour will kick off in Moline, Illinois on November 19th; from there the performer will stay on the road through December 17th where he will wrap up this leg off the tour with a performance in Brooklyn, New York. Tickets are on sale now and available to the public for the latest leg of Mayer’s tour.

However, one of the biggest tour announcements of the week undoubtedly came from the ‘King of Country’ recording artist George Strait. The platinum selling artist did announce his retirement earlier this year, but in a recent announcement from earlier this week, he also revealed that he will be heading out on one last tour before he retires. While this will not mark the complete end of George Strait’s career it will be the end of his touring days, according to the performer. Strait, who has already been on tour with Martina McBride this year, revealed that after retiring following his final tour, he will continue to produce albums every year. 

Tons Of Bands

This week Rodrigo y Gabriela, the famed Mexican guitar duo revealed that they will be hitting the road in a new summer time tour. The band will be touring around the West Coast in their tour called the “Area 52” tour. The duo will kick off their tour on May 12th in Napa, California at the Bottle Rock Festival. The band will then continue to tour around the country delivering audiences with performances of some of their biggest songs to date. The tour will keep the band on the road through August 3rd, where they will finish up their tour in Boston, MA. Tickets for the group’s shows are on sale and available to the public right now.

Another big announcement of the week came when TD Garden and Live Nation revealed that they would be hosting an event called Boston Strong: An Evening of Support and Celebration. The event will be help on Thursday May 30th at the TD Garden and is designed to benefit The One Fund Boston after the tragic events that took place at the Boston Marathon. The event will feature performances from bands like Aerosmith, Jason Aldean, Jimmy Buffett, Boston, Extreme, Dane Cook, New Kids on the Block and more. Tickets are on sale now.
