This week, country superstar Kenny Chesney revealed that he will not be heading out on the road for a 2014 event. This is a major announcement for country fans as it will be the first time in more than 13 years that the country superstar will not be heading out on a new tour event. Chesney made the announcement earlier this week and revealed that he will be taking this time off to work on his 13th album. Right now, Chesney is on the road on a “No Shoes Nation” tour and there are eight stops remaining, including stops in Atlanta, Detroit and Foxborough, Massachusetts. Tickets are still available for the remaining shows in the tour.
In other news, the Canadian rock group, Arcade Fire just revealed that they will be heading out on the road for a new tour in 2014 to support their latest studio effort. The company’s new album will be hitting the market on October 29th and to support this new album, the band will be heading out on a big tour event beginning in January of this year. The tour will kick off when the band co-headlines the Big Day Out festival with Pearl Jam and Blur. From there the band will head to Auckland to start a slew of headlining events that will keep the band on the road through February.
