Big Concert News

This week, hit country group Lady Antebellum made a major announcement, revealing they are extending their current tour.  After selling out some of the biggest arenas in the country, the trio revealed they will be adding another leg on to their in progress tour. This tour called the “Take Me Downtown Tour,” also features performances from Kip Moore and Kasey Musgraves, while some of the new shows will feature opening acts Billy Currington, David Nail and Joe Nichols. During the tour fans can expect to hear some of the group’s latest hits from their fourth studio album “Golden,” which the band released last May. Tickets are on sale now for this new leg of tours.

This week the band Soundgarden also announced they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary of their hit album “Superunkown” with a new tour event. The band will be performing the album in its entirety during a March 13th performance at the iTunes Festival as part of South by Southwest. Other bands performing at the spring event include Coldplay, Pitbull, Imagine Dragons, Willie Nelson and Keith Urban. However, Lady Gaga who was supposed to perform at the Doritos Stage will no longer be able to perform at her selected venue. No word has been released on whether or not she will perform at the festival. Tickets are still on sale for these and other South by Southwest shows.

Let The Fall Fun Begin

This week, the music world was buzzing after one of the biggest acts of the past year, Lady Antebellum, made a major announcement about their upcoming tour plans. The country group revealed that they will be heading out on the road for another tour event. Their current Take Me Downtown Tour will be continuing on to 2014. The band announced their tour in July of 2013, but the band has just revealed that they will be expanding this massive tour event. The tour starts on November of 2013 and now the band has revealed that this tour event will be expanding into 2014. The second portion of the tour will be kicking off on January 9th in Charleston, West Virginia after the band takes a brief break around the holidays. The tour will then wrap up in Knoxville, Tennessee on April 27th. During this tour event, the band will be joined on stage with opening acts Kacey Musgraves and Kip Moore.

August Entertainment Update

This week, hot off the heels of the celebration of his 50th performance in Las Vegas, Rod Stewart made an announcement revealing that he has extended his contract with The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for two more years. The iconic performer will begin the new two year stay starting this fall. Tickets to see these performances in Las Vegas are now on sale and available to the public.

 In other news, award winning singer and songwriter Fiona Apple has just announced that she will be joining forces with songwriter Blake Mills for a new collaborative effort that will take the two artists on a three week long fall tour. The duo will kick off their US tour on October 3rd with a show in Portland, Oregon. The tour will be called “Anything We Want: An Evening with Fiona Apple and Blake Mills.” During the tour event the artists will be visiting 12 different cities and will wrap their tour up with a two night stay in Washington, DC on October 25th-26th.  During this tour, each artist will not only play some of their biggest individual hits but they will also be performing some new collaborative singles as well. Tickets for this new tour event go on sale on August 2nd.

January 2013 News

The world of entertainment is back in full swing after the New Year and now entertainment fans of all types are being treated to special events that are sure to make 2013 an exciting year. One of the biggest ticketing announcements of the year so far came from the world of sports as the NHL revealed that the lockout for the 2012-2013 season is now officially over as the league and players have finally reached an agreement. Although many assumed the season would be over for good, a portion of the regular season will still be played in 2013. Hockey Tickets will be going on sale this week after the official schedule is released and games are expected to begin January 19th. Those who have been waiting months for the season to take place will not want to miss out on this opportunity to see NHL action for the first time in nearly a year.
