A big concert announcement this week came from the country superstar Luke Bryan. The singer just revealed that he will be finishing up his tour just in time for the Daytona 500. According to the singer, he will now be doing a pre-race show at the Daytona 500 on February 23rd. This will bring his total tour to around 50 shows. The pre-race show will feature many of the hit songs performed on the singer’s “My Kind of Night” tour that he just launched. Tickets are now available for this tour including the singer’s stop in Daytona.

Meanwhile, Blues singer ZZ Ward has just announced that she will be headlining a new tour of her own with the “Last Love” tour. This tour will start in Philadelphia on February 28th and keep the singer on the road through the rest of the spring including an appearance at the Coachella Festival. This week a major tour announcement from one of the most popular jazz singers in the business has had music fans excited for what spring 2014 will hold. This announcement came from Jazz singer Diana Krall. The songstress revealed information about her upcoming worldwide tour called the “Glad Rag Tour” revealing the official stops for the final leg of this jaunt. According to the announcement the last leg of the tour will begin on April 4th in Northridge, California before it visits several theaters across the West Coast. The final leg of the tour will then wrap up on April 16th in Seattle. The tour will be promoting the singer’s latest album, her 11th studio record, titled “Glad Rag Doll.” Krall is currently on the road and has already performed 109 different shows promoting this latest record on this massive world tour event.

Another major music announcement this week came from Neil Young. The performer, along with his band Crazy Horse had announced earlier this week that they had to cancel their tour due to an injury of the Crazy Horse guitarist. However, there is now good news for Neil Young fans. The performer revealed that he will be performing four new shows at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The newly unveiled shows will be taking place his January with performances being held January 6th-10th. This week, there were several big announcements about upcoming tour events that will have music fans excited. One of the biggest announcements of the week came when The Eagles announced that they will be adding new shows to their current tour event. The band is currently out promoting this tour called the “History of Eagles” tour which is slated to wrap up on November 23rd. The band has just revealed that they have plans to expand this tour into 2014 with a six night residency at Inglewood, California’s Forum. These shows will take place from January 15th through January 25th. Tickets for these new shows are on sale now and available to the public.

Another big rock announcement came from the Southern rock-country band Blackberry Smoke. The group revealed that they will be heading out on a new tour event that will take them across North America throughout 2014. The tour will be called the “Fire in the Hole” tour and will include stops in the United States as well as Toronto. The tour will officially kick off in January 2014 and the band will stay on the road throughout January, February, March and April. This week, legendary guitarist and multi-Grammy award winning performer Carlos Santana made a major announcement about his upcoming performance plans. The artist revealed that he will be continuing his Las Vegas residency next month. Even though the residency at Mandalay Bay was scheduled to wrap up next month, Santana will be extending his show, called his “Greatest Hits Live” show so that it goes into 2014. The 15 additional performances will take the show into February 1st of next year.

During this special showcase, fans can expect to hear some of the performer’s biggest hits from his expansive career as well as some of his latest songs from his recent album “Shape Shifter.” Santana will also be performing a one-off show in December in Guadalajara, Mexico to promote his latest album called “Corazon.”

Fall Concert News

This week the official line up for the 8th annual Stagecoach Festival was revealed. According to the team behind the three-day country festival, the event’s official line up will include headlining performances from Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Eric Church. The festival will be taking place next spring, April 25th-27th at the Indio Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. These are not the only performers for the vent either. The announcement revealed that other acts such as Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Loretta Lynn, Hunter Hayes, Jennifer Nettles and John Prine will all also be performing at the event. Tickets go on sale this week on October 18th for those looking to see all of the action unfold live.

Rock and Roll 

However, one of the biggest announcements of the week came when the official lineup for the iHeartRadio holiday run was revealed. This year’s iHeartRadio ingle Ball tour will feature some of the biggest names in music and will include an extensive three week holiday tour that will keep the artists on the road throughout much of the holiday season. The current tour plans involve 12 city stops, starting on December 2nd in Dallas, Texas and wrapping up on December 20th in Miami, Florida. During the tour, fans can expect to hear short sets from the event’s artists and unique collaborations from the talent, for a concert experience designed to be unlike any other.

This week, there were several major announcements regarding upcoming shows that will be sweeping across the country later this year. In big country concert news, two of country’s biggest acts, Luke Bryan and Eric Church, have just announced that they will be signing on to headline the Kicker Country Stampede event. This annual event will be celebrating its 19th anniversary next summer. The country superstars will be headlining the four day event, which is slated to take place in Manhattan, KS. The festival will be taking place on June 26th and last through June 29h at Tuttle Creek State Park. More artists for the massive country event are expected to be revealed in the near future. Those who are interested in seeing these performances live from the two country superstars can buy tickets now for the concert event.

This week it was revealed that one of the biggest rock bands in the morning My Morning Jacket will be heading out on a new tour event. The band revealed that they would be hosting their own all-inclusive festival event called the One Big Holiday event. This concert experience will be taking place over four days at the new Hard Rock Hotel in the Riviera Maya in Mexico. This festival will include several different concert events including other festivals as well. During this concert event, fans will get to see the group perform some of their biggest hits and some of their new songs as well as some of their latest singles from their own records. Country super star Luke Bryan revealed this week that after selling out the first leg of his “Dirt Road Diaries Tour” which he is currently on, he would be adding additional shows to the tour to help deliver his fun, high energy sound to more fans across the country. The first leg of the tour is scheduled to end on March 23rd. This new summer leg will add 35 dates to the tour, beginning on May 17th in Virginia Beach, VA and will keep the performer on the road throughout October of 2013. One of the other big announcements of the week came from Crosby Stills and Nash. The iconic folk rock band revealed that they would be hitting the road for an upcoming 2013 tour. The world of entertainment is back in full swing after the New Year and now entertainment fans of all types are being treated to special events that are sure to make 2013 an exciting year. One of the biggest ticketing announcements of the year so far came from the world of sports as the NHL revealed that the lockout for the 2012-2013 season is now officially over as the league and players have finally reached an agreement. Although many assumed the season would be over for good, a portion of the regular season will still be played in 2013. Hockey Tickets will be going on sale this week after the official schedule is released and games are expected to begin January 19th. Those who have been waiting months for the season to take place will not want to miss out on this opportunity to see NHL action for the first time in nearly a year.
