This week more information on one of the biggest musical events of the year, Lollapalooza, was released. It was revealed that the annual festival will be returning once again this year to Grant Park in Chicago from August 2nd-4th. The festival will have eight different stages of performers and once again will feature a massive line up of bands. This week the daily line ups for the event were revealed with top performers such as The Killers, Mumford and Sons, The Postal Service and more all making appearances at the event. As the festival plans for the event to sell out, they will be releasing 60,000 single day tickets for Wednesday April 3rd for the festival. Other tickets for the event, including passes will go on sale at the end of this week.
While many are getting up for the annual Lollapalooza event, one of the biggest announcements of the week was undoubtedly the announcement from hit pop group The Jonas Brothers. The pop trio has announced that they will be heading out on their first North American Tour in more than three years, beginning this summer. The band has just announced their Jonas Brothers Live tour, which is set to kick off on July 10th in Chicago, Illinois. The tour will keep the band on the road throughout most of the summer and will include stops in 25 different cities. The band which announced the tour on the same day they released their new single “Pom Poms,” revealed that the tour will feature new material they have been recording during their touring hiatus as well as performances of some of their biggest hits to date.
The tour will include stops in several big cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, LA and Toronto. Tickets for the North American tour go on sale next week and fans are encouraged to act quickly to get their tickets to see the events unfold live, with a history of selling out some of the biggest venues in the country, there is no arguing that their return to the stage is sure to bring fans in, in droves. This week, music fans are sure to be excited for the upcoming medley of big concert events hitting the live music scene. One of the first and biggest announcements came from the Grammy Award winning rockers, Mumford and Sons. The group revealed that they would be taking the road for a new concert tour event across North America this summer and visiting some of the biggest venues in the entire country. The event, known as the “Summer Stampede” event will kick off on May 21st in Calgary. The tour will be taking the band on the road to some of the biggest venues in the entire country and tickets for the event are on sale to the public now.
Another big concert tour event is being headlined by three of the biggest bands of the 1990s. The rockers Everclear will be headlining their second annual Summerland tour and will be joined on stage by two other chart topping bands, Filter and Sponge. The rockers will be visiting some of the biggest venues in the United States with the tour that begins on May 29th in Ft. Myers, FL. The 33 city tour will keep the band on the road throughout July. Tickets go on sale to the public this week for those looking to see Everclear live in concert.
However, the biggest announcement of the week was undoubtedly the announcement of the Great Googa Mooga. This music event not only features big name headliners but also food and beers from hundreds of different establishments as well. The event will be returning to Brooklyn this May and will be hosted May 17th-19th. Headliners for the massive music festival will include rockers such as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Flaming Lips, Matt and Kim, the Darkness, Sharon Jones and more. Tickets are on sale and available to the public now for those who are looking to visit the Great Googa Mooga festival in New York; however, those interested in the show are encouraged to act fast before tickets sell out. This week, several big tour announcements for this summer were revealed, getting music fans ready for the summer tour season. One of the biggest tour announcements of the week came from the 2013 Grammy Award Winning artists for the Album of the Year, Mumford and Sons. The performers announced that they will be heading out on the road for a new tour event that will launch in Calgary on May 21st. During this tour Mumford & Sons will be touring around the country and promoting some of their latest recordings as well as hits from some of their earlier work. This tour will also include a three night stay in Berkeley, California, a stop at Bonnaroo on June 15th. The tour will keep the band on the road through September 15th. Tickets for this massive tour event go on sale this week to the public. Those who are looking to see Mumford and Sons take the stage live will want to act fast to get their tickets to see this event live.
Another big announcement was made by anther music legend when the multi-talented Keith Urban made a new announcement about his upcoming tour event. Keith Urban is currently on the road on his Light the Fuse Tour. This 2013 tour has already been projected extremely successful for the performer with pre-sales for the concert already selling out many of the biggest venues in the entire country, leading Urban to announce a second leg for his current tour. Urban has planned more stops for the year that will keep him out on the road for most of the fall. The first leg of Keith Urban’s tour is kicking off on July 18th in Cincinnati and tickets are on sale for the event now. The first leg of this tour will keep the performer, along with supporting acts Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch, through October 5th. This second leg of the tour will kick off on October 18th and keep the performer touring around the country until December 8th when the tour wraps up in Louisville, KY.

With ticketing announcements for the 2013 music festival season in full swing, many music fans have been anxiously awaiting news about their favorite music festivals. Fortunately for fans, this week marked the reveal of the 2013 Firefly Festival concert lineup. This is the second annual Firefly Festival and the show hopes to follow in the footsteps of its wildly successful first year. The festival, which takes place at the Woodlands of the Dover International Speedway is scheduled to take place from June 21-23rd. The festival is slated to have acts such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Foster the People and More. Tickets and all day passes for the event will go on sale this month, but those who want to attend the festival live will want to act fast as it is expected to sell out.
