Summer Concert Ticket News

This week, several artists announced plans for their upcoming fall and summer tour schedules now that the summer season is officially in bloom. One of the first major announcements came from Foster the People, the Indie-folk rockers who just announced that they will be heading out on an extensive North American tour. The tour will kick off after the group wraps up their current outing in Europe. The concert will feature performances of some of the band’s biggest hits to date as well as some of their new material. The show will kick off in Morison, CO on August 6th and feature stops in big markets such as Orlando, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles. The tour will keep the band on the road throughout the fall. Tickets are on sale now.

Concerts

Colbie Caillat also announced plans for her own US tour. The singer revealed that she will be heading out around the United States in a tour that will support her latest album “Gypsy Heart (Side A).” The singer will also be performing some of her other major hits from her long and successful career in the industry. The tour will kick off in Huntington, NY on September 3rd. Other major stops include shows in San Diego, Niagra Falls and others. Tickets are on sale now for this new tour event.

Summer Concerts

This week, there were several major announcements regarding the tour schedules for some of today’s biggest artists. This week, the successful Electro-pop group, St. Lucia announced that they will be heading out on a new North American tour this fall. This new tour will be in support of the upcoming release of their expanded album “When The Night.” According to the announcement from the group, the band will have 24 days scheduled along the tour, which includes stops in Phoenix, Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta. The tour will start in Pittsburgh, PA on September 25th. From there the band will head out on the road before wrapping up their tour in Washington DC on November 25th. The band will be joined by several different opening acts on select dates including the Haerts, Joywave and The Knocks. Tickets went on sale this week.

Summer Concert

This week Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers also announced they are adding some additional shows to their tour schedule. This announcement comes after the band had to cancel a few of their shows in Lincoln, NE and Kansas City, MO. The band has added four shows to their tour which starts on August 3rd in San Diego. New stops include shows in Clarkston, MI, Darient Center, NY and Morrison, CO. The tour in total will include 30 major market stops. This new tour event will be supporting the band’s upcoming release “Hypnotic Eye.” Tickets are on sale now.

This week, the official lineup for the 2014 LouFest was released, as the festival will once again bring in several big acts to the city. According to the announcement from festival coordinators, the concert event will feature several headlining acts, including Outkast, Arctic Monkeys, Grouplove and Cake. The announcement also revealed that other local acts will be joining the festival as well as smaller bands and groups, to bring 40 different bands together for the festival. The annual event will once again take place at Central Field in Forest Park. This year’s event will be held September 6-7. Tickets to see the concert event live are on sale now and available to the public.

While many are gearing up for the upcoming festival season, one of the biggest announcements of the week came regarding one of the most established bands in rock music today. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers just announced they will be hitting the road for a new concert this year. The group will be promoting their latest album, which is their first record in more than four years. The album, called “Hypnotic Eye” was just released to the public to rave reviews and outstanding commercial success. In support of this venture, the rockers will be heading out on tour, starting August 3rd. The tour will officially kick off in San Diego, California. From there the group will visit 29 major markets across the United States for a tour that will last more than two months.

Adam Lambert and Queen plus Springteen News

This week, Adam Lambert and Queen made a joint announcement about their upcoming tour plans. Adam Lambert will be filling in for former Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. However, Lambert will be joined on stage by original Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor. Fans of Queen and Adam Lambert will enjoy getting to see these two joining up for the third time for a new musical event. The two musical acts first came together in 2009 when they performed together on American Idol. The two also performed together at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2011. According to the statement, this will be the first and final time Queen will be performing in the United States. Tickets are on sale now. This week, Bruce Springsteen revealed that he will be pairing up with the hit band Fun for a new free concert event. The singer has shifted the date of his North American tour kick off to do a free concert at the former Reunion Arena site as part of the NCAA March Madness Music Festival. This week, music fans of all types have been excited to hear about some of the big concert events that will be hitting the country once summer kicks off. One of the big announcements of the week came regarding the Firefly Music Festival. This year, the annual festival will be taking place June 19th through June 22nd at the Woodlands of the Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware. According to the team behind the event, the lineup includes Outkast, Foo Fighters, Jack Johnson, Weezer, Tegan and Sara and more, all performing live. There are also a number of other bands and performers that will be taking the stage during this event. Tickets are on sale now for those who want to see the festival take place.

This week there were several big announcements for music fans, including an announcement from Jennifer Nettles. The country superstar revealed that she will be heading out on a new solo release album called “That Girl.” The singer will be taking a break from performing with Sugarland to head out on the road for this new solo effort with a subsequent run. During her new tour, Jennifer Nettles will be taking the stage alone and treating fans to singles from her solo album. This new album is set to be released on January 14th. The tour, called the “new Girl” tour will officially kick off on Valentine’s Day on February 14thin in Washington, DC. From there Jennifer Nettles will head to 13 different stops during her trek. MGMT, Big Boi, Summer Camp Music Festival and The Postal Service

While many bands have already announced their spring touring plans, a number of bands are still announcing new dates.  New York based duo MGMT have recently announced an 18-date tour.  The band is set to release their third album in June, and their tour takes them from University Park, Pennsylvania, home of Penn State University, on April 26 to the Bunbury Music Festival on July 13 in Cincinnati, Ohio.  The band is set to play 15 headlining shows across North America in April and May and is slated to play three festivals, Firefly in Dover, Delaware, Kanrocksas in Kansas City, Kansas, and the aforementioned Bunbury in Cincinnati.  Tickets for some dates are already on sale while others are set to go on sale within the coming days.
