This week one of the most legendary performers of all time, Sir Paul McCartney announced that he would be adding new shows to his 2013 “Out There” tour. The announcement came as a surprise to music fans and to the many who have been looking forward to see the performer and former Beatle take the stage live. Among the new performances that Paul McCartney has added are shows at the Amway Center in Florida for May 18th, a show in Tennessee at the Fedex Forum on May 26th, a performance at Fenway Parkin Massachusetts on July 9th and more. All of these shows will provide fans with greater opportunities to see Paul McCartney in a rare live tour performance event. Tickets for the newly added shows and for the rest of the dates on the performer’s worldwide tour are on sale and available to the public now. Those who want to see Paul McCartney perform live will not want to miss out on this opportunity to see him take the stage in person.
While it may seem hard for music fans to get more excited than they have been about the recent Paul McCartney, another big music announcement was released this week when Jay Z announced the official line up for his 2013 Made in America Festival. Music fans have been waiting anxiously to hear the official announcement from the rapper about who would appear in the festival and who would be taking the stage for the event This week, the performing artist and mogul released the official line up for the Philadelphia based festival which will have more than 30 different artists taking the stage.
The headliners for the event will be Beyoncé and Nine Inch Nails. Other big performers to take the stage at the music festival will be Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Queens of the Stone Age, Phoenix, Calvin Harris, Deadmau5 and more. The event is expected to be one of the biggest of the year and to pull in major crowds. The concert event will be held in Philadelphia on Labor Day weekend, August 31st through September 1st. This week two of the biggest rock legends in the history of the music business made announcements regarding upcoming performances, and music fans of all types are reeling about these upcoming performances. One of the first and biggest announcements of the week came from rocker and former Beatle, Paul McCartney. The music legend announced this week that he will be playing a one time show this summer for fans. Sir Paul McCartney will be taking the stage at Boston’s famed Fenway Park to play a concert on July 9th. Tickets for this rare opportunity to see the performer take the stage live are expected to sell out fast for this one-time-only show in Boston. Tickets for the July concert event go on sale this Friday morning, April 5th at 10:00 AM.’
The other big rock music announcement of the week came from rockers The Rolling Stones. The veteran rock group announced to the public this week that they would be heading out on the road for a new North American tour across the country. This rare touring event for the band has already had fans from all over the country reeling as many have been waiting to see the group take the stage once again. This latest summer tour will be short and feature stops in only nine different cities. During these stops fans of the group can expect to hear some o the biggest hits from the band’s last few decades in the business as well as some of their latest recordings performed live.
The tour, which is known as the “50 and Counting Tour” will kick off in May at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Other big stops during the tour include stops in the TD North Garden in Boston on June 12th and the United Center in Chicago on May 28th. With only nine stops on the tour; fans looking to see the performers take the stage live will want to act fact when getting their tickets. Tickets go on sale this Monday, April 9th to the public. With ticketing announcements for the 2013 music festival season in full swing, many music fans have been anxiously awaiting news about their favorite music festivals. Fortunately for fans, this week marked the reveal of the 2013 Firefly Festival concert lineup. This is the second annual Firefly Festival and the show hopes to follow in the footsteps of its wildly successful first year. The festival, which takes place at the Woodlands of the Dover International Speedway is scheduled to take place from June 21-23rd. The festival is slated to have acts such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Foster the People and More. Tickets and all day passes for the event will go on sale this month, but those who want to attend the festival live will want to act fast as it is expected to sell out.

The lineup of the 2013 festival was revealed over an hour long YouTube broadcast that was hosted by Weird Al Yankovic. The 2013 festival is scheduled to take place from June 13th-June 16th and will take place once again in Manchester, Tennessee. The 2013 Bonnaroo Festival acts include Mumford and Sons, R.
