Summer Fun Update

This week, there were several big summer tour and concert announcements for music fans of all different genres. One of the first big announcements came from the band the Queens of the Stone Age. The rockers, who just finished up an international tour with Nine Inch Nails, revealed that they will be heading out on their own tour event that will take them across the music festival circuit throughout the summer. During this tour they will be making stops at big US music festivals such as the Sasquatch Music Festival in Indo, California. They will also be heading abroad for several international music festivals during the tour. The band will then pepper the outing with a handful of auditorium and theater stops along the way. The tour will be keeping the band on the road throughout August. Tickets are on sale now for their select theater performances and for a handful of the festival stops the band will be making along the way.

2014 Coachella music festival Info

This week there were several big announcements for music fans, including an announcement from Jennifer Nettles. The country superstar revealed that she will be heading out on a new solo release album called “That Girl.” The singer will be taking a break from performing with Sugarland to head out on the road for this new solo effort with a subsequent run. During her new tour, Jennifer Nettles will be taking the stage alone and treating fans to singles from her solo album. This new album is set to be released on January 14th. The tour, called the “new Girl” tour will officially kick off on Valentine’s Day on February 14thin in Washington, DC. From there Jennifer Nettles will head to 13 different stops during her trek. Tickets are on sale now and available to the public for those who want to see the singer take the stage solo.

Summer Festival Update

This week, new information on some of the biggest festival events of the late summer and early fall were revealed. One of the biggest announcements of the week came from the team behind the popular website Funny or Die. The comedy company is presenting their first comedy festival this summer, an event known as the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival and tickets for the event just went on sale this week. According to a statement from event organizers, the comedy festival will include performances from Flight of the Conchords, Demetri Martin and Dave Chappelle. The comedy tour will make 13 different stops and will officially kick off in Austin, Texas on August 23rd. Tickets are available now.

In other music news, the lineup of the new 2013 Sunset Strip has been revealed. This will be the 6th annual Sunset Strip Music Festival, and this year the event will be taking place on August 1st. According to the announcement the event will feature performances from artists such as Asher Roth, Wale, Street Drum Corps and more. The event will be headlined by famed rockers Linkin Park. This will be the only performance from the band in North America this year.  Tickets to see this festival event live are on sale and available to the public now.

This week one of the most legendary performers of all time, Sir Paul McCartney announced that he would be adding new shows to his 2013 “Out There” tour. The announcement came as a surprise to music fans and to the many who have been looking forward to see the performer and former Beatle take the stage live. Among the new performances that Paul McCartney has added are shows at the Amway Center in Florida for May 18th, a show in Tennessee at the Fedex Forum on May 26th, a performance at Fenway Parkin Massachusetts on July 9th and more. All of these shows will provide fans with greater opportunities to see Paul McCartney in a rare live tour performance event. Tickets for the newly added shows and for the rest of the dates on the performer’s worldwide tour are on sale and available to the public now.
