Recent announcements from the music world have revealed a number of big, exciting concert events that will be taking place in 2013 and that are sure to delight music fans of all types.

One of the biggest announcements came from one of the biggest music legends in the history of rock: Eric Clapton. This weekend, pop and country fans alike will experience a big treat as country superstar Taylor Swift will be putting tickets on sale for her upcoming 2013 Red Tour. The highly anticipated tour was announced earlier in the month where Swift revealed she would be touring across North America with Ed Sheeran as her opening act. Every concert will have affordable ticket options for fans, per the request of Swift herself. Based on the success of her previous tours, fans can expect tickets to the event to sell out quickly. This weekend will include sales for Washington DC, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Detroit, Toronto, Kansas City, Chicago and Los Angeles. Tickets will officially be one sale this weekend on Saturday for the aforementioned events.

Meanwhile, another big name country and pop sensation; Carrie Underwood Tickets for her upcoming 2013 concerts are on sale this weekend. Saturday will be a chance for fans to get tickets to a few of the dates that were added to the extension of her current concert in cities such as Charleston, Jacksonville, Fort Wayne, Portland, Milwaukee, Omaha and Las Vegas. The tour, called the Blown Away Tour sold out most arenas on its first leg and the second leg of the tour is expected to sell out as well, so fans will not want to delay.

While tickets will undoubtedly be selling fast for these country superstars, no seats will be filling up quite as fast as the seats in the Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend. This is because the annual NASCAR Spring Cup Series event will be taking place at the speedway this Sunday, November 18th. This is one of the biggest and most frequented events not only in all of NASCAR but in professional sports as well. Last year more than 73,000 fans showed up to the Miami speedway for the finale, and those looking to attend can expect the same type of numbers as well. Fortunately for fans the massive speedway can accommodate thousands, but that doesn’t mean they should expect to get tickets at the door. With only hours left until the checkered flag waves those looking to attend the event will want to act fast. This will be the must-see sporting event of the weekend; do you have your tickets yet?

The Show Must Go On While Hurricane Sandy Roars

Fans of professional sports, particularly hockey were left with a sour taste in their mouth this week, after the NHL made a very disappointing announcement for fans. After many expected that the NHL would truly return in the beginning of November and with games slated for November 1st, the NHL recently announced that they would be canceling even more games in the season. Currently the entire schedule for the month of November has been cancelled until further notice.

While sports fans may be reeling from this recent, announcement there is plenty in the world of entertainment to keep those around the country entertained until the return of hockey. Unfortunately, for many of those living on the East coast, looking to attend Broadway performances, many of the shows in New York have been cancelled through the 31st of October or until further notice due to the effects of hurricane Sandy and the many without power. However, once Broadway productions do start resuming as normal, fans looking to get into the holiday spirit can enjoy special performances of the live adaptation of “A Christmas Story” for which dates have officially been announced. The production will begin next week on November 5th and run through December 30th of 2012. Tickets are now officially on sale.

After her wildly successful release of her album RED, Taylor Swift made an announcement this week revealing she will be taking the road early next year to support her fourth studio album. The country crooner also announced the locations for this tour which will kick off in Omaha, Nebraska on March 13th, 2012. Tickets for the first half of the newly announced tour will be going on sale on November 18th. Taylor Swift’s concerts are notorious for selling out quickly, so interested fans will want to take this into account when planning to buy tickets.

While the announcement of Taylor Swift was a huge surprise to fans, last weeks announcement from Maroon 5, regarding their own 2013 tour, proved to live up to the hype. After a week of sales, Maroon 5 was at the top of the ticket event ranking sales, proving that the concert series truly was as highly anticipated as many made it out to be. Those who are looking to get in on the Maroon 5 action can still get tickets to most of the events on the tour, but will want to act fast, as this event is already selling records for rapid ticket sales.
