Old Rockers Still Doing It.

Paul McCartney has just announced that he will be canceling the Asian leg of his current tour, after struggling with a viral infection. However, the singer is not quite ready to return to the stage. After taking advice from his doctor, the former Beatle has announced that he will be delaying the start of his US tour and postponing the first seven shows in this leg of his event. The singer was originally scheduled to kick off his US tour on June 14th with a performance in Lubbock, Texas and visit six other cities that month. However, this southern leg of the tour has officially been rescheduled and will now take place in October.

The Paul McCartney tour will now officially begin on July 5th in Albany, New York and the singer will be visiting 11 major markets before taking a rest starting on August 14th when he wraps up his show in San Francisco, California. The new concerts will begin on October 2nd in Lubbock, Texas and will keep the singer on the road through October 28th. This week, there were several major announcements regarding upcoming concert festivals, shows and tours, beginning with a major announcement regarding the highly anticipated Lebowski Festival. This annual festival, based off the hit movie “The Big Lebowski,” is held every year in Los Angeles, California. The movie’s lead actor Jeff Bridges and his band “Abiders” have just revealed that they are set to headline the festival this year. The event will be taking place in April at the Wiltern Theatre in LA. The Kyle Gass Band, which features one of the singers from Tenacious D will open up for the group. Tickets are on sale now and available to the public for those who want to see this concert and a screening of the movie live.

Another big announcement this week came from the rock band Vampire Weekend. The hit group has just revealed that they will be extending their current tour outing after selling out many of the shows already on their summer schedule. The band is currently touring around the United States in support of their album “Modern Vampires of the City.” The new announcement has the rockers confirming ten additional stops along their tour, starting with a performance in Oklahoma City on June 1st and an appearance at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN on June 13th. The Grammy-award winning band is also heading to South America before their return to the United States for their summer tour. This week, there were several big tour announcements that have had music fans of all types excited for the
upcoming tour season. One of the biggest announcements of the week came from famed electronic musician Sonny
Moore. The performer, known by many as Skrillex, has just announced that he will kick off a new winter tour
event. The tour, known as the “Takeovers” tour will take the performer to several cities this winter.
Beginning with a performance in San Francisco and ending with a February 14th performance in Brooklyn. Both of
these stops will feature multi-night runs, so that fans have plenty of opportunities to see the show live
while Skrillex is in town. During these performances, the electronic music superstar will be joined on stage
by A$AP Rocky, Jack Beats, Seven Lions and other electronic music performers. Tickets are on sale now and

This week, there were several big announcements about upcoming tour events that will have music fans excited. One of the biggest announcements of the week came when The Eagles announced that they will be adding new shows to their current tour event. The band is currently out promoting this tour called the “History of Eagles” tour which is slated to wrap up on November 23rd. The band has just revealed that they have plans to expand this tour into 2014 with a six night residency at Inglewood, California’s Forum. These shows will take place from January 15th through January 25th. Tickets for these new shows are on sale now and available to the public.

Another big rock announcement came from the Southern rock-country band Blackberry Smoke. The group revealed that they will be heading out on a new tour event that will take them across North America throughout 2014. The tour will be called the “Fire in the Hole” tour and will include stops in the United States as well as Toronto. The tour will officially kick off in January 2014 and the band will stay on the road throughout January, February, March and April. October 2013 Update

This week, the legendary rock outfit, The Eagles announced that they will be adding dates to their latest tour, called the “History of the Eagles’ tour. According to the announcement from the band, these additional shows will be taking place at The Forum. The band will be the first musical act to perform at this music venue in Inglewood, California after it reopens on January 15th. The band will be doing several performances at the venue after completing 25 different performances as part of their current tour event. This tour kicks off on October 4th in Lincoln, Nebraska. Another big name musical act has also made some announcements regarding his tour, as Justin Timberlake has just announced the expansion of his “20/20 Experience” tour. According to the singer, he will be adding some new UK and European tour dates for his trek that will start on March 30th with a performance in Sheffield, UK. From there the singers will be hitting several major cities such as Berlin, Paris and Glasgow. Tickets for these newly added shows go on sale October 4th.

This week, several big live entertainment events were announced from both the sports and live music world. One of the first announcements came from the hit rock band, Yellowcard. The rockers revealed their upcoming plans to celebrate the ten year anniversary of their hit album and single “Ocean Avenue.” As part of their anniversary celebration the rock group will be heading out on a new tour event that will take them around to some of the biggest venues in the country. Here they will be performing hits from their album as they also release a new “Ocean Avenue Acoustic” record where they will be releasing new recordings of all 13 songs on this record. The tour will be kicking off in Milwaukee at Henry Maier Festival Park on August 31st. The tour will keep the band on the road through October where they will end their tour at the House of Blues in Hollywood. While it may be ‘March Madness’ time for college basketball fans, it doesn’t mean that in the world of live entertainment there aren’t other big announcements being released in the month of March. In fact this week one of the hottest rock bands in music today, The National, made a major announcement that has fans of all ages excited about March. The veteran rock group announced that on May 21st they would be releasing their sixth studio album and in order to support that new album they would be heading out on a tour around the country this summer. During this summer time tour, the group will be stopping at some of the biggest venues in the entire country. This includes the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, on June 5th, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on August 10th and the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado on September 17th. Tickets for these events go on sale this week, so fans of the group will want to act fast if they are looking to see the group take the stage live.

Summer Is Coming

This week, rapper Big Boi from the group Outkast revealed that he would be hitting the road later this month for a new tour promoting his recent album, “Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors.” The new tour will take the rapper to venues across North America is a tour he calls his “Shoes for Running Tour.” The multi-talented performer will be visiting some of the largest concert venues in the United States during this concert tour event and tickets are on sale now.

Also, this week, tickets went on sale for the new 2013 show for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The veteran rock band will be making a one time show appearance this summer at the Milwaukee based Summerfest Music Festival, which is the largest music festival in the entire world. The band will be holding their concert at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee as one of the headlining events of the two week music festival. Tickets for the concert are on sale now; those who want to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in this one time concert event will want to act fast.
