This week several big concert tour announcements were made that have had fans of all types excited about the summer touring season. One of the biggest announcements of the week came when Robert Plant announced new 2013 tour dates for the Sensational Space Shifters. The famed lead singer of Led Zeppelin will be heading out on the road with his new band, The Sensational Space Shifters for an exciting tour event that is sure to be a ‘must see’ for all types of rock fans. The tour is slated to kick off on June 20th in Dallas, Texas. The tour will then be finishing up on July 27th in Brooklyn. The tour will include 21 total stops. Tickets for this highly anticipated rock event go on sale April 26th.

Another big tour announcement this week came from some of the biggest names in rap music when the dates and lineup for the second annual Under The Influence of Music tour were released. The tour will be headlined by Wiz Khalifa A$AP Rocky, and B.O.B. among other performers, in a must see event. During this concert tour spectacular the performers will be visiting some of the biggest arenas in the entire country. The tour will take place in the summer of 2013 and keep the performers on the road for most of the season. The event will kick off in Mountain View, California on July 17th. Finally the biggest announcement of the week came when the official line up for the Americanarama Festival of Music Tour was announced this week. The tour confirmed that Bob Dylan will be headlining the event along with bands Wilco and My Morning Jacket. The tour event will feature a selection of rockers and visit some of the biggest venues in the country making 26 different stops along its way. This week one of the most legendary performers of all time, Sir Paul McCartney announced that he would be adding new shows to his 2013 “Out There” tour. The announcement came as a surprise to music fans and to the many who have been looking forward to see the performer and former Beatle take the stage live. Among the new performances that Paul McCartney has added are shows at the Amway Center in Florida for May 18th, a show in Tennessee at the Fedex Forum on May 26th, a performance at Fenway Parkin Massachusetts on July 9th and more. All of these shows will provide fans with greater opportunities to see Paul McCartney in a rare live tour performance event. Tickets for the newly added shows and for the rest of the dates on the performer’s worldwide tour are on sale and available to the public now. While it may seem hard for music fans to get more excited than they have been about the recent Paul McCartney, another big music announcement was released this week when Jay Z announced the official line up for his 2013 Made in America Festival. Music fans have been waiting anxiously to hear the official announcement from the rapper about who would appear in the festival and who would be taking the stage for the event This week, the performing artist and mogul released the official line up for the Philadelphia based festival which will have more than 30 different artists taking the stage.

The headliners for the event will be Beyoncé and Nine Inch Nails. Other big performers to take the stage at the music festival will be Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Queens of the Stone Age, Phoenix, Calvin Harris, Deadmau5 and more. SnowGlobe Festival 2012 Plus

Now that the Thanksgiving holiday has passed, this week the music world was given a big treat for the holidays as the dates and lineup for an outstanding new musical event were revealed this week. This event is known as SnowGlobe Festival 2012 and it will run from December 29-31 in South Lake Tahoe, California. The event will feature over 40 acts that will all be scheduled in between other events during the long weekend. The event will be headlined by Dadmau5 and Wiz Khalifa. Tickets are on sale now and expected to sell out quickly so those who want to see the event live will not want to wait.

Another big announcement came from an entertainer of a different breed this week, when the legendary master of horror, Stephen King, made an announcement to the public. Starting this week, on November 24th, the author will be entertaining audiences with a new medium when a new stage version of the Stephen King novel Misery hits the stage. The stage adaptation will feature the work of Academy Award winner William Goldman who will be taking the story from the 1990 film adaptation and transforming it for the stage. The new production is now playing live at Bucks County Playhouse and fans of the author and of the original film will not want to miss the opportunity to see this unique performance live on the stage. For those who are looking for a less-frightening live performance event to attend, there is the highly anticipated debut of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. The company behind the new Broadway play released a statement this week revealing that the casting for the play has been complete and that previews for the production would be beginning on January 24, 2013. The play will then officially open on February 24th, 2012. The production will feature a new twist as it will be Cinderella’s turn to rescue the prince in this live musical event that is designed to be fun for the whole family.
